Cornishfootball
21 hours ago, Sijames said: seems like very late notice doesnt it? couldn't agree more. with the games being postponed so much and possible injuries from last round (a few days ago), time off being taken then moved around to accommodate and half term all being taken into consideration I think this is a terrible decision. less than a weeks notice is a bit of a joke, the most important cup in Junior football and some teams may now struggle to field a team. interesting to hear more from the clubs involved in the 1/4 finals. The semis are over a month away yet so no harm in having them next weekend
Paul Collings
Whilst the confusion and uncertainty doesn't reflect well on the administration, i expect none of this is a done deal yet and the County & clubs (and hopefully both leagues) are probably still in 'talks' . 8 quid
What's the issue with playing jnr cup again this Saturday as opposed to if you just played a league

Only issue really is the travel for an early kick off and late notice. Torpoint to Illogan is a fair old journey, not much warning for players to re-arrange any work etc Not to mention the severe disruption to League fixtures and all the extra work for the Secretaries
WendronOfficial
CCFA are trying to be proactive. They’re already behind schedule in the Junior and Senior cups and are trying to have minimal impact on leagues whilst completing their own fixtures. Half term shouldn’t make a difference. All know that football continues over school holidays. All teams were fixtured matches as it is so they all knew that they would be in action. John Mead
The quarter finals were always scheduled for 10th Feb and clubs would have been aware of this, so I don't see the problem! It might take a few weeks to get them all played unless the weather improves.
Paul Collings
Looking like a pretty bleak afternoon ahead. Any news on pitch inspections, postponements or games definitely going ahead would be welcome. Anyone out there know if there is any spectator shelter at New Inn Titans ground ? zebedee
Paul , Titans pitch is part of a playing field , rugby on pitch above , no covered areas Im afraid !!! Brolly and wellies day if it goes ahead as ground very wet lately .
Sticker Forever
You can tuck yourself into a hedge behind one of the goals Paul but that’s as good as it gets! As Dave said pretty open with the two pitches, get there early if you want to park and get your sat nav on because it’s up a lane you can easily drive by! On the plus side, the chip shop on the corner out of Illogan opens at 4pm so you might want to warm your cockles with a nice bag of chips!? Titans a good side, will be a decent game I should imagine? jaythekeeper
St Stephen vs Holywell & Cyber has been called off by the ref. St Stephen did their best to get it on, kudos to them, but not to be.
64 on tap
Shame to see the St Stephen vs Holywell & Cyber game called off. The away side looked sharp in their warm up as opposed to the ever disrespectful Saints. In my book St Stephen are assuming they’re already in final again. StarMan42
Similar attitude when we went out to them in the last round! I’m sure most of Cornish football would be happy if the took a beating from lower league opposition. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

B Manning
64 on tap , I think you have answered your own question , both teams went out and gave everything for the 90 minutes, neither manager could have asked anymore of their teams. Fanfare
Sunday football. Star player turns up at kick off, walks to the pitch smoking and hungover, scores 4 without a warm up. His team wins. Where's the problem?
