That's only 296 drinks, so he's not going to buy all the Town fans a drink then!

I fancy helston 2-1

a red card

and  a Steve Massey  knee slide in full suit  in front of the f troop like his hero Jose mourihno

Well just the red card i got wrong

there must be video evidence of a Massey knees slide 😂

He was absolutely delighted. Helston stole it in the last 10 minutes. Put the f troop quiet for a min though. Shame the Falmouth dug out had to trip up and throw water over the supporter celebrating.

Not in his 70's beige suit he didn't. Spent most of the game on the TV gantry with his head in his hands .Hope piran films don't edit the commentary .

Think you'll find the Helston supporter threw a bottle at the Falmouth bench billy. The referee deemed it serious enough to call for the security stewards to eject the culprit from the ground .

Do you want to borrow the same guards to sort out your troublesome fans that misbehaved a week or so ago lol?

No the supporter definitely had it thrown at him. I was stood right there. He was probably ejected for his own safety, the f troop and bench were not in a good mood, I thought things were going to get nasty for a minute

So according to you,  the Falmouth bench threw water at the supporter and the referee saw fit to stop the game until he was removed, yet took no action against the bench.   Bizarre, don't you think?  Given he was on the field of play,  one might ask about crowd control.

At one of your last games - you know - the incident that swept under the big F Troop carpet. And who tore down the supporters flag today? Quite the catalogue you guys are creating.

They clearly didn’t need my support coz only one set of  fans licking their wounds.

No, we saw him walk away with the security people.

Oh yeh, I have no questions about security escorting him out, just everything else mattelot said. I was literally stood right there and saw it all. It was fantastic viewing when he got tripped up by the Falmouth bench as he ran to celebrate.

So this Helston supporter got tripped by the Falmouth bench, don’t you mean seats ?

Falmouth unfortunately will rue the chances not taken during the first half when they were clearly the better side.

Falmouth went ahead with a cross/shot from Tom Moxham in the first half but couldn't add to it.

2nd half, and neither side created much apart from a one on one which Barner was unable to convert past Harvey in the Helston goal.

Helston exclusively just pumped everything long, and Town were hardly troubled. About 5 to go and another long ball into the area was missed by the Town defence, who had otherwise been excellent.  The dangerous Ricky Shepherd took his chance for 1-1.  Most people thought that Town would be taking Helston back to Bickland Park in the week for the replay, but a break down the left resulted in a decent cross which Shepherd tapped in for his second.

A classic smash & grab from Helston.

Good luck to them in the next round but I wouldn't want to watch that type of long-ball football every week. Not easy on the eye. However, clearly effective in the end.

Town will be motivated to get the three points against Helston midweek to continue their rise up the league table.

Missing James Ward and JBE today. Not sure for how long but their return will be much welcomed.

Probably comes down to fact helston have a goal scorer and your is injured. Still can’t knock helston for way they  play. It must be effective  maybe last season you lot would have beaten them easy.

Let’s see what Tuesday brings first! Didn’t rate Helston for 85 mins today, although you did tighten up second half. Falmouth certainly rue their missed chances first half. 2.1 was still fine margins.

Just watched the highlights video and the flags appear to be on the fence for the whole game.  There's also a reference to the great atmosphere the F-Troop brought to the game.  You might want to update your catalogue.

Congratulations to Helston 👏

Cup success isn't verified by who can shout the loudest or putting a fancy flag up. There's far too much off the pitch banter (dare I say controversy) associated with certain clubs over recent seasons.

Most students of the game had this down as a home win. I know I did 🙂

Proven by my correct score calculation in the Prediction League (a very rare event sadly) 🥴

Good luck ongoing Helston 👍 Positive result for local regional Football.

I was not at the game but feel Falmouth should work on their 'seeing a game out' -to be honest they got away with it in the previous round when Saltash laid seige for the final10 minutes or so.

Just looking at the last meeting between the clubs 2 years ago at Kellaway, Town were 3-2 up with 20 mins. to go and were trumped by 90+ winner from Billy Tucker.

watching on twitter I went to make a cuppa during the last 5mins and when i returned as you can imagine I spluttered my tea all over the place LOL

Good luck for the draw to Helston tomorrow I know how exciting the feeling will be  in the camp.

Well pleased with the Falmouth first half positive style although missing key players J Bray-Evans & James Ward and possibly Alex Wharton who I guess was taking it safely after his midweek concussion-i note he did score for Helston in that last game  4-3.

Will be interesting to see how the F.A. deal with Helston failing to control there own supporter running on to the field of play causing the referee to halt the game and calling for the matchday security to remove the offender from the ground .

   # oh the irony !!!

Good old Jeff almost did himself after the 1st goal.. Came under barrier to abuse the keeper.

Not condoning Helston supporter entering pitch either

Oh dear - does that man think a bit of charity work and a bit of loud music gives him carte blanche to act like an 80’s headhunter? Next he’ll be offering to meet people outside their work!! Oh wait a minute……

Thought this was a site to discuss football, turns into keyboard warriors getting personal!!! Of course Helston should win, they're established at western league level and pay a fair bit for the team they put out on the pitch so expect a return. I don't condone the helston fan getting crap if he did, or him coming on pitch,  just as I wouldn't condone the verbal abuse Massey gets. Banter is only banter if received as banter when it becomes personal the line is crossed.  Typical cup game. I wish Helston all best in next round and hope they have a favourable draw.

If you want to be childish I don’t think they would want those “guards” . They didn’t react very quickly to the pitch intruder. In the end the intruder walked towards the “guards” to be escorted out!

Wondered how long the money thing would take. Like Helston are the only team doing it too!!!

Not sure if directed at my comment but seems to be. It was and is not a dig at Helston. It is a statement of fact on the level of expectation. If I buy a £100 grand car I expect it to perform better than one at 30 grand, If I assemble a team for whatever I expect it to out perform one that is on less, doesn't always work that way but I am referring to the level of expectation associated with it.
