Please say Falmouth will get thrashed lol
  9. Interesting scorelines FAVase 2005-06 Penryn Athletic 2 Hamworthy United 1-----FA Vase 2008-09 Penryn Athletic 0-Hamworthy United 2
  10. Six different scorers I hear - Luke Johnson ........................and who? Best ever result at St.Mary's Field 1974> in 14 visits. Only bettered in the Vase by 9--1 at Ilfracombe Town 9-1 in 1994 with the great Ray Nicholls in charge Attendance recorded as 179 Best behaviour in Torquay tonight
  11. Think he use to play for Holman S C (Camborne) Thats 34 goals scored in the last 5 games with only one conceded This weas the 14th.visit for Falmouth at St.Mary's Field and their best ever scoreline The last 3 results at Bridport -1993 FAV won 2--1, 1994 FAV Won 3--1 (Justin Ashburn 3)- 2005 FAC Won 3--0
  12. Luke Johnson with the first goal on his debut-I presume he has joined from Penzance If so a good replacement for Olly Walker who was on the bench today at Bournemouth.
  13. With the extra time you dont get to see many replays as usually both clubs go out for a winner on the day to avoid the logistics of another game. For instance Falmouth have played 67 F.A,Vase ties and seen only 5 replays.
  14. CSWPL-- Falmouth Town v Camelford Free scoring Falmouth looking to move up to 2nd. spot Camelford looking to to halt 5 league games without a win and only one goal scored.

    Billy Chown RIP

Totally shocked to hear -it wasn't too long ago we had our chats at RCH Treliske (out of the way of the CCTV cameras) and couldn't get away from talking local football. We first met in the 60's when two newly formed clubs Carharrack and Pengegon had many a battle. Condolences to the Chown family especially my ex Maxam workmate Valerie-such a sad day for Mining League area football.

    Truro vacating Treyew Road

It is becoming more and more The Stadium for Pirates . To maintain running costs for 365 days a year i guess the rental /hire out fees would be too excessive for local sports clubs to find..... Bear in mind the Pirates only play 11 Home games this season and will there be Truro City at National level in two seasons time ? The Cornish Sharks and Cornish Rebels are a"here today gone tomorrow" set up
  19. The Barbican Sports Field What are the facilities at the ground for parking, seating and refreshments-I am planning a debut visit on Saturday.
  20. Can someone confirm the Looe goalscorer-please. It was asumed Noah Phillips on the day but reading the Indy' it names Bradley Woodman
  21. James Miller for Falmouth-he did more running than anyone chasing the wind blown ball from the ajoining field time and again. for Looe it was Sam Wiltshire
  22. Yes Nige-Jordan, James Ward and David Broglino.
  23. Yes full credit to Looe (who have lost all their ECPL games) for fufilling the fixture and not crying off for any reason which seems the easy way out when you know the inevitable. Barely three free kicks for fouls all match and admiration for looking to play the ball to feet even in defence The Looe club seem to be going forward with a clubhouse/refreshment bar in progress on the Barbican Sports Field. Should the CCFA now be looking at reverting to the old system of letting the higher placed league teams joining the competition at a later round.?
  24. TBC--Jack Bowyer 4, Matt Buchan 3, David Broglino 2-Tim Nixon-Martyn Duff and Jordan Annear
  25. Thanks to Looe manager Duncan Sweeney to allow the gate to be opened and let me park on the ground-
