Piran
Plenty of discussion points: https://youtu.be/SNCUTCgR0nA So what of Steve Massey's future at Helston? Hear from the horse's mouth https://youtu.be/GoDr6LZ3iV0 On 25/01/2022 at 09:35, Piran said: The key word is “if”. Not sure Steve Massey would want this dip to continue much longer. To be fair, with the exception of the Shelton Mallet game I think I am right in saying the defeats have been by the single goal. Steve has shown a great deal of loyalty to his players. sportsman10
Well there definitely a lot to discuss in that. First the blatant dive and rolling around the floor from Orlando like he was shot was just embarrassing and needs stamping out asap. His goal mind was absolute quality millbrook should have had a penalty from Bentley saving the shot with his hands what the ref seen I’ve no idea millbrooks goal did look close to offside. matt wright should be scoring that chance with his eyes closed terrible miss. it looked a very good game to be fair and a pretty good crowd , millbrook looked like they matched helston for long spells. I wouldn’t disagree with many of your points. Could Bentley have done anything to prevent the ball hitting his hand?
FootballChat
Thought the lino got the Millbrook goal spot on, the Helston defender has made a deliberate attempt to block the ball which resets the offside. Awful point of law but it’s not up to the lino to make up new ones!

Cant disagree at all. To be fair, from where i was stood, looked like Orlando could've been tripped but ref gave it and the yellow quickly which suggests he did dive... really poor

He lay on the floor trying to kid everyone that the ball had hit him in the face, he knew exactly what he was doing & he got away with it. Don’t let anyone kid you that was accidental. !!! Piran
So the centre back Beattie kept the Millbrook forward onside and the tap in was not offside either?
WendronOfficial
By the LOTG the striker is onside as the defender has made a legitimate attempt to play the ball…I think… Difficult angle to tell if offside from the through ball so more cameras and a Sharpie to draw onside/offside lines is your next purchase. Good highlights once more and looked a good cup tie. Thecupfootballblogger

Good highlights once more and looked a good cup tie. Not quite. The play was a block for a shot (so classed as a save by defender) which means it was offside. "A ‘save’ is when a player stops, or attempts to stop, a ball which is going into or very close to the goal with any part of the body except the hands/arms (unless the goalkeeper within the penalty area)." Sky sports, 300 cameras in the ground & video replay after replay, & when premier league club owners said that 1 decision had cost them millions of pounds & the game became about money, & only money. Get rid of all the cameras & pundits in studios watching incidents 15 times before deciding wether it’s right or wrong & give the 3 officials their responsibilities back. That way, the supporters discussions on Monday morning at work, will all be about, ‘what if ‘ & ‘if only ‘ rather than trying to find the perfect results to please the money men. Piran films do a great job with their production, however, if they hadn’t filmed the Millbrook game, we would all be saying, some decisions you get, & some you don’t. Swings & roundabouts !!! Footy follower
I don't think the dive or the handball were clear cut from the footage BUT the reaction of both players tells me that it was a dive and that it was handball.... You start to pick up a reputation for it real quickly tho especially now games are filmed and then managers moan they don’t get decisions when a ref has been conned by player before If the managers stamped it out on thier own team it soon be gone.
