The Town Man
Here is a scenario to ponder: You are a manager of a Cornish football team. You are faced with the opportunity to provide some intelligence on a fellow Cornish Team to a side from outside of the area ahead of a big FA Vase cup-tie. A: Do you decide not to volunteer any information given that it would be to the detriment of a fellow-Cornish Club? or B: Do you give this team the run-down on the fellow-Cornish clubs strengths and weaknesses? Discuss........
Mike Odgers
Ha Ha --I wonder who gave Bradford Town the individual player run down of Falmouth. Pretty sure it was Not the connection with their captain Ross Lye who use to play for St.Austell.

It's come back to bite them on the bum though .😂🤣😁
Dave Deacon
A shame if this is the case! Might not always be for cash Keith, sometimes could be local rivalry.
baldy
So we talking about info on Falmouth? They could have asked me, I’ve seen them a few times this season. T’aint the CL you know. Let them do their own scouting, not exactly difficult is it? Only has to go to SidmouthTown last week, wouldn’t have even needed their passports. Philheybrookbay
Come off it. Mousehole came to Kimberley Stadium midweek and I know of at least 4 other clubs there represented from Western League. It was the only midweek game and managers/ committee members were scouting. sportsman10
You can watch all of Falmouth highlights online. Why would anyone need any info on anyone. And who to know someone wasn’t watching them in the last game. Pretty sure Steve Massey travels here there and everywhere watching the opposition Ian Pethick
Dave Deacon
And as it proved Saturday with Falmouth‘s first goal - routines can change!

At one stage a few seasons ago they didn't even like publicising line ups until the last moment). For example, Manchester United were able to study all the characteristics of Liverpool's play by watching (and rewatching) all their matches. See how that worked out... 🤔 Seve Stagg and sportsman10
The Town Man
Sounds like the answer to the question should be: A: Do you decide not to volunteer any information given that it would be to the detriment of a fellow-Cornish Club? In other words, there is no need to go out of your way to pass on any hints to the opposition as all the evidence is out there in the ether. Not sure why anyone would bother to give the info over then. Ian Pethick and Dave Deacon
