A Question of Morals

Recommended Posts

Here is a scenario to ponder:

You are a manager of a Cornish football team. You are faced with the opportunity to provide some intelligence on a fellow Cornish Team to a side from outside of the area ahead of a big FA Vase cup-tie.

A: Do you decide not to volunteer any information given that it would be to the detriment of a fellow-Cornish Club?

or

B: Do you give this team the run-down on the fellow-Cornish clubs strengths and weaknesses?

Discuss........

Ha Ha --I wonder who gave Bradford Town the individual player run down of Falmouth.

Pretty sure it was Not the connection with their captain Ross Lye who use to play for St.Austell.

Some one has apparently given themselves away on twitter . It's come back to bite them on the bum though .😂🤣😁

You can watch all of Falmouth highlights online. Why would anyone need any info on anyone. And who to know someone wasn’t watching them in the last game.  Pretty sure Steve Massey travels here there and everywhere watching the opposition

Never understood the paranoia of clubs regarding sharing of info via freely available highlights (and yes, Plymouth Parkway were one of them. At one stage a few seasons ago they didn't even like publicising line ups until the last moment). For example, Manchester United were able to study all the characteristics of Liverpool's play by watching (and rewatching) all their matches. See how that worked out...  🤔

Sounds like the answer to the question should be:

A: Do you decide not to volunteer any information given that it would be to the detriment of a fellow-Cornish Club?

In other words, there is no need to go out of your way to pass on any hints to the opposition as all the evidence is out there in the ether. Not sure why anyone would bother to give the info over then.
