FootyLad1234
Plymouth Argyle have been hit with another Goalkeeping injury crisis with 18 Year-Old regular peninsula league keeper Michael Cooper dislocating his finger in training on Monday. This saw another recent regular of the Argyle reserve peninsula side in 16 Year-Old Max Childs being named on the bench against Northampton last night. With Argyle having 4 potential 'first team' GKs out and now young Childs having to come on to the bench for the foreseeable future, what do Argyle need to do in order to restore parity? Potentially 15 Year-Old Harry Townsend may have to make the step up to play in the peninsula side. Rumours are circulating that with Argyle not being able to get another emergency loan in until January/buy another GK, they are on the lookout for another young Goalkeeper in and around the South West Peninsula divisions who could possibly be signed and developed until further notice. Fanfare
He won't be allowed if he is 15. They will have to find someone else. It's a good job most of Argyle's games fall on a Friday.

It's a good job most of Argyle's games fall on a Friday. You might find that the rules are different playing under-age players when you're an academy player. Normally you can't play until you're 16 but because academy players are coached by qualified coaches who constantly assess the technical, physical, psychological and social side of their players, they might give him the go ahead although this may not apply to this league and only their professional leagues. The difference is that professional clubs' assessment "guarantees" the suitability of a player while no such qualified coaches necessarily exist outside the professional game. It's an anomaly that exists for professional clubs only and why the occasional 15 year old turns out for a professional club.
Hetty
I think Argyle will be able to sign a keeper on an emergency Loan - this then doenst become a problem
leedsunited
No keeper in this league up to those requirements, not a chance. Ask Big Kev, he will tell you he knows first hand

100%cornish
Remi MATTHEWS played for the 1st team today with Michael COOPER on the bench so i would think Max Childs is still in goal for the reserve team
Cornishfootball
why would tom mchale want to leave truro to play peninsula football? if it's for Argyle 1sts then maybe but not peninsula

Meaning that their young Peninsula had to step up, not suggesting McHale would go play peninsula football - more a case of him going to their first team with the young goalkeepers going back to the Peninsula side. Agreed, no way would he go to Peninsula side. I think it's only a matter of time before he goes into the Football Lsague though.
