Tavi Fan
“ 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. The club announces that Dave Pearse the club manager has departed from Bridgwater United. After 7 years as Player Manager/ Manager (2 yrs. covid break) the club has not achieved promotion. This season results so far have been good but not great. The 3 losses costing the club 9 points and over £10k in costs are not acceptable to our new owner Ian Davis. Ian is a very keen football supporter and wants the club to be promoted and has made this decision with a heavy heart but feels it’s very necessary that new blood is introduced to the club to give it the push it currently needs. Ian has invested a considerable amount to get the club clear of debt and has improved the grounds and the facilities and only wants what’s best for the club. It’s all about the club not any one person.”
Fan of all ball
Not sure this is correct, seems someone possibly an 8 year old might have hacked the clubs Twitter account.
Tavi Fan
Safe to dismiss Bridgwater from the title race? What an awful statement that really is. Just goes to show the grass isn’t always greener when a new chairman takes over.
Buckland Jim
Awful statement, already one player (Jake Viney) has hinted he's off because of what's going on behind the scenes.
John Henry
Jake viney has left and trust me more will follow and its down to one man the owner after sacking the manager on Saturday. The fans are up in arms about this ridiculous decision, and there’s a lot of angry some already giving season tickets away and others are going to boycott games.and his reasons are a complete joke despite being in second spot and still in 3 cups saying we have dropped 9 points away from home and that’s not acceptable if we want promotion,he says he wants new blood at the helm so what’s he done put the assistant manager in charge, you couldn’t make it up.I know it’s carnival season but this guys a joke with no idea how competitive this league is.sadly after building and forming a good squad together in the last few seasons this guy has with one ludicrous decision ruined what could of been a very special season. Tavi Fan
Very disappointing for the fans. To lose long standing managers and players is never easy but is even worse in this manner. Hopefully things get sorted, Bridgwater should definitely be higher than step 5 IMO.

I'd love to know where the money has been spent on improving ground facilities as the pitch, changing rooms & club house rank among the worst in the league.
