  1. Falmouth,Clevedon ,Bridgwater or Barnstaple to be promoted that is the question.who is your choice to be victorious and why?
  2. Question is who would Falmouth prefer in the play off out of Barnstaple,Bridgwater or Clevedon
  3. Bodmin Town 1 v 3 Penzance Camelford 1 v 2 Wendron United Dobwalls 2 v 1 Launceston Newquay 1 v 1 Truro City Reserves St Dennis 1 v 2 Mullion Wadebridge Town 0 v 2. Holsworthy Bridgwater United 4 v 1 St Blazey Clevedon Town 2 v 1 Torpoint Athletic Helston Athletic 1. v. 1 Buckland Athletic Saltash United 2 v 1 Street Shepton Mallet 1 v 2 Falmouth Town Welton Rovers 3 v 1 Millbrook
  4. Still all to play for, could Buckland still put a spanner in the works or even Clevedon spoil the party.squeaky bum time this coming week.
  5. 1st Falmouth 2nd Helston 3rd Barnstaple 4th clevedon 5th Bridgwater this is how I see it finishing and who will get the second spot and go up,well in the playoffs at the moment Barnstaple are hitting a rich vain of form and if they keep everyone fit they will just be favourites that means in my prediction ,Helston will be at home to Bridgwater and this is not an easy game to predict as Bridgwater on there day are a good side I just think that if Helston lose out to Falmouth they may find it hard to lift themselves and I can see them losing out, that leaves Barnstaple and clevedon and although Clevedon have been amazing this season they seam to be running out of steam at the moment and Barnstaple will be to strong for them.so that leaves Barnstaple v Bridgwater to battle it out for the second spot well of course it’s going to be tight but the one thing there games have produced against each other this season is goals 15 in two games and one more game in the league to play.but I’ll just go with Barnstaple to be promoted along with Falmouth. now of course it’s only my opinion and Football is and always will be about opinions and I may be totally wrong but that’s the fun of it and whoever goes up I wish both teams and supporters all the best.
  6. New signing at Bridgwater Bridgwater have announced the signing of a new goalkeeper Luke Purnell from step 3 club Weston super mare
  7. This was games that Falmouth and Bridgwater didn’t want especially this week as their focus must have been on what is happening on Saturday when they play in what is the biggest game for years in the vase,
  8. Went to the Somerset cup game last night between Taunton and Bridgwater and in front of a good crowd of nearly 600 Bridgwater never looked like a team 3 steps below Taunton and were always in the game, they took the lead in the first half and deserved to go in at half time 1-0 up.of course Taunton we’re going to and did play better in the second half and although not creating gilt edge chances they finally equalised 15 mins from time to make the final score 1-1 so it was on to the lottery of penalties with Taunton winning 5-4.I wasn’t impressed with Taunton and Truro have nothing to fear playing them in a few weeks.

  10. I think that this season will go to the last few games and is still tough to call At the moment Helston have set the pace but they do have a lot of away games to play and some tough home games as well,Falmouth have a lot of games in hand but winning them is a tough call and still being involved in all the cups might be a step to far for them,Bridgwater of course are in a similar position to Falmouth being in all the cups only difference is they have points on the board in the league plus 5 of there last 7 games are at home which could make a big difference, clevedon have had a good season and in some respects have been the surprise package and I couldn’t say they won’t end up surprising us all and winning the title but they seam to be hitting a lack of form in the last few weeks but if making the playoffs they will be tough opponents, that leaves Barnstaple who have beaten helston this season but they have drawn 7 games which shows that all thou they are tough to beat its also been there down fall and will regret that at the end of the season. Whoever wins it’s been more exciting this year with the playoffs an added bonus for a lot of teams plus our league might have a team playing at Wembley at the end of the season so all the best to every team involved may the best team win⚽️🏆
  11. Buckland for me have a must win game next week against Bridgwater to stay in the hunt simply because of the games in hand of the teams around them Falmouth and Barnstaple have 5 & 3 games in hand and only 2 points adrift even Bridgwater who are 8 points clear of them have a game in hand, for me my top 5 will be Helston,Bridgwater Falmouth clevedon Barnstaple.as for the winner I’ll stick with the team I choose at the beginning of the season Bridgwater
  12. Top 5 now looking to take shape but are Buckland starting to get a bit worried about finishing in the playoffs,or do you think there are a few twists and turns still to happen.
  13. Holsworthy v Camelford. 2-2 Launceston v St Dennis. 2-1 Newquay v Bude Town. 3-1 Wendron United v Bodmin Town 2-0 AFC St Austell v Liskeard Athletic. 1-3 Callington Town v Truro City Reserves 1-1 Dobwalls v Penzance. 2-2 Mullion v Wadebridge Town 1-2 Buckland Athletic v Helston Athletic. 1-1 Falmouth Town v Welton Rovers. 5-0 Ilfracombe Town v St Blazey 1-1 Saltash United v Brixham. 2-1 Torpoint Athletic v Barnstaple Town 2-2
  14. From what I’ve heard both teams were willing to play the game and the referee was quite happy to play but when the assessor got involved in the situation he changed his mind and called it off.funny thing is the rugby ground which is if you have been to Bridgwater right next to the ground their match went ahead with no problem. They have a game on Tuesday against Barnstaple and if we get the rain forecast I bet it’s called off.at this rate some teams will be playing 3/4 games a week at the end of the season
  15. Strange decision at Bridgwater pitch passed as playable at 10:30 I presume by a local referee but at 2:30 referee along with a referees assessor decided to call it off saying the pitch was to hard, makes you wonder if the referees assessor had not been there the game would of been played, feel sorry for ilfracombe travelling all that way for nothing.
  16. Of course any game at this stage of the competition is going to be tough but I see no reason why Falmouth can’t go there and win,Bridgwater went to the runaway leaders of their league Farnham who have won every game this season and won, the only possible reason to give them a slight advantage is that they play I believe on a 4g pitch and might be more used to it,but I still fancy both Falmouth and Bridgwater who have a home draw both getting into the Q/Fs which will be a great advert for our league,I’ll make my predictions now Falmouth to go though on penalties and Bridgwater to win 2-1
  17. They are all step 5 teams so nothing to fear,in cup games form can go completely out the window Farnham we’re unbeaten all season in their league and favourites before yesterday but Bridgwater went there and beat them,so it’s on the day and I see no reason why the two teams from our league can’t be just as good and do well against whoever they play,so Falmouth Bridgwater best wishes for the next round and do the western league proud
  18. Interesting odds for the vase Worcester city are now favourites at 11/8 with Bridgwater at 8/1 and possibly more tempting Falmouth at 20/1 might have a little cheeky £5ew
  19. Would be ironic if Falmouth drew Bridgwater who also had a great result away at unbeaten Farnham let’s hope they are kept apart until the Final 😂
  20. A lot has been made about this decision but what about the game in general was it the right result or would a draw be a true reflection of the game.
