SWL Veteran
Big win for Bodmin - is that Bodmin improving or Sticker being poor? Maybe a combination- anyone there know the line ups and goal scorers?

Fanfare
Sticker keeper made several good saves to keep the score down, despite gifting Bodmin their third early in the second half.
leedsunited
Sticker are in real trouble, & with the loss of Gary Wheildon ( a real asset to any club ) they need a huge change in fortune to avoid the wooden spoon. A great shame as their facilities are fantastic. As for Bodmin, another 3 points in our quest to avoid finishing in the bottom 3 like many predicted, although being 6 points off top spot with two games in hand, maybe Gilby might be looking at the other end of the table now instead of the bottom like most predicted. I did hear Whispers last night Gary Wheildon could be the new St.Blazey manager by this time next week. Is the 'merry go round' getting ready to start turning .. Bobjfh
Sticker are having a big dip at the moment and having watched their last three games are struggling, but they are (rightly) not going to try and buy their way out of it. They have lost at least 6 of their squad from last season and that is without doubt costing them - and would be easy to point out deficiencies. One thing that is a great sign for them, though, is that they have 3 young lads playing for them (and I believe more coming through) who whilst not quite there yet, are showing real potential. Bearing in mind this season counts for little, other than those going for promotion (lol) - Sticker will regroup and although they are a way off title contenders (or mid table) they will be much more of a competitive side towards the end of the season and moving forward. As with a lot of the 'smaller' sides in the league it is easy to have your better players tempted away and hard to retain a competitive cohesive squad - so good luck to Sticker and hopefully a win will restore some confidence. Well said Bobjfh and you are so right it was really tough losing five of last years players and not being able to sign any replacements and two more have just packed it in so it looks we will be drafting in more youngsters. The trouble is losing 8 out of 9 doesn't do the confidence much good so a win would certainly help with morale!

Hey just keep bringing in the young and able, Avers is resilient and not going to quit, it will all work out in the end. All facilities owned by Sticker AFC whether we play in vets, duchy, ladies, Premier CSWPL or dog agility lol, we have a laugh and support those we can. Happy days, looking toward to 29th Sep against Falmouth, JB gonna score own goal, Duffers gonna assist that one! Could be a lot worse fella, suggest we spend any team travel money on dancing girls half time, cheer the supporters up!!
