Mike Odgers
Just spotted on the SW Peninsula website (Forum)F A Cup / Vase or both -From the Premier Division- All clubs have applied except Launceston(again)-Godolphin and Callington & Stoke Gabriel(Both without lights)Only Wadebridge from the West Division have applied for FA VaseFrom the East Division Crediton and Budleigh Salterton have applied for Vasesurprised no Tavistock or Porthleven this time having entered last termThese are applications not acceptances and there will be a cut off for the F.A.Cup based on points per game average with a lot of uncertainty regarding ground gradings and a number of clubs folding. Henning Berg
Why on earth have Tavi not applied? Best facilities in the leagues!!Maybe this is the reason the management team have decided to jump ship to Parkway?
shots
Will St Austell's application be effected by the recent ground grading problems?
Bruegel the Elder
Will St Austell's application be effected by the recent ground grading problems? I really wouldn't have thought so, their problems with ground facilities are in relation to league progression not F.A. Competitions. Their ground sufficed to make excellent runs in both Cup and, particularly Vase and only required some modification at Vase semi-final level. There are other teams on the list with far more to worry about than St Austell on that score.
Dave Deacon
At the moment they have no grading and therefore at this very moment they would not be allowed in any FA competition. The position is absolutely ridiculous!
Bruegel the Elder
I always thought that when you applied for ground grading assessment with a view to promotion that you retained ground status for your current league. While I bow to your superior knowledge in these matters, it does indeed seem bizarre.

shots
I fear that Dave Deacon's interpretation of the rules is correct. The FA Cup re-entry would not be allowed until the season after next.
quiksilver
So because they didn't spend a couple of quid on a bag of cement to fix some cobble stone St Austell can't enter FA competitions......oops
Richard Rundle
They can enter, they just might not get accepted! There is precedent on this, Exmouth Town 12 months ago not only failed to get the grade for Step 5, they were stripped of their existing grading, in much the same way AFC St Austell have been. I don't know if there is a process where they can be regraded now (for the FA competitions only, the deadline for the Step 5 applications has now of course passed)
Scrumpyjack
It's a joke!! Feel really sorry for Exmouth town seems like they have been proper stiched up aswell as St Austell, doesn't add up.

I think the grading rules were changed this year and clubs were advised of changes needed in at the end of January and given until end of March to implement them, St Austell didn't/couldn't make the changes in time. Exmouth did not have that two month opportunity last season as was only bought in this year
Tribute
How can a club , under instruction from the FA , police and safety officials , spend thousands to improve their ground to be able to stage a FAVase semi with a capacity of , I believe , over 2000 , then get told because of ground grading they might not be able to enter the competition this year !!! Dave Deacon
To be stripped of any ground grade is the luscious part of all this! As they have none at present, should the SWPL in fact be allowing them to play in their league next season?

Dave Deacon
Best I advise you to read the SWPL forum in answer to your question!http://www.swpleague.co.uk/SouthWestPeninsulaleagueForum/topic/fa-cup-vase-entrants-201516/
Richard Rundle
Dave can you confirm that Fa.Cup qualification is on final league positioning or final points tally?Points per game, to supposedly equalise the fact that Step 6 leagues/divisions to not all have the same number of clubs.
