Exmouth 0 v Parkway 0.

A very evenly matched game which had very few good goal scoring opportunities.

The first half was 50 / 50 and I feel Parkwary edged the second half.

Exmouth hit the bar from a free kick which made the Parkway fans put their hands over eyes.

Both teams had very well organised defences.

No man of the match today , team effort.

108 mile round trip for a point and I will take that. A win at Tavi Wednesday should give us the title.

Well done lads.

I got that wrong , if Saltash win their last 4 games , they will be champs.

Well done indeed to Plymouth Parkway. I must admit I was rather hoping that Exmouth would do it, but the table never lies and the best team always finishes on top.

Congratulations again!

Just like to say it was a real honour to play in the Penzance v Helston game today - in what was andys last game as a ref, absolutely top bloke, great ref and the best I've probally ever had the pleasure to be on a pitch with. Both teams gave him a very much deserved guard of honour after the game and the supporters stayed to applaud him off aswell. All the best andy, happy retirement from the game. Scott Halliday

Interesting reading some of these above posts. Watching a lot of games, various teams at different venues throughout the season. What is it about Parkway? It seems nobody other than Parkway personnel want them to win the league. Is it the Players? The Management? The Club? Been to Bolitho on several occasions seems an alright place.

Your probably right keith, whats amusing is the clubs that pay just as much or more....& get nowhere near the top 4/5! Nothing to stop parkway now. Asking saltash to win their last four games against good sides in a short space of time will be to much of an ask for them.

30k.....thats substantial, but not the biggest i have heard of & seen for this level of football. I see your point gripper, but believe me when i say that some clubs will be paying 15k to 25k & like i said wont even finish in the top 4/5. It happens every season. If you win the league its highlighted in lights how much has been spent, if you fall short it gets brushed under the carpet because everyone wants a pop at the champions instead of questioning their own clubs failures. Im not saying i agree with parkways direction, however i can sympathise with them in people trying to knock them as they are the leagues best team.

After todays defeat at witheridge, where many teams have lost, bodmin can now hope to finish cornwalls 2nd best team as i think saltash will now finish 2nd behind parkway

Bodmin should finish the 2nd best cornish team as they have 2 relatively easy matches, but Mondays game against a young Newquay side will be Bodmins 6 th game in 14 days !!. Godolphin have 2 hard home games, we will see.

Gripper Stepson you must be from a different planet. I would be interested to know WHO TOLD YOU ?

Before everyone says NO way can it be as much as that...... Let say everyone in the squad (manager, players etc) receives £20 expensives per game NOT including cup games.

Squad of 15 x £20 x 38 games = £11,400

That's £300 per game

Each player if he plays the 38 games receives £760

Until it wrote down, you wouldn't believe it........as they say the sums don't lie!

Well that makes one of your old senior committee/officer men a complete liar. He was at the time bemoaning the fact that it made no sense spending that money to win considerably less.

Of course chairman....you may at that time not have been party to that information. You never know.

Not much of a committee/officer to be spouting any figures, especially wrong ones.

What a fantastic run Saltash are having. Credit has to go to Martin Burgess who has created a fantastic team this season with a good mix of the old guard, new arrivals and often helped out by 2nd team players. Whatever happens on Friday they still face a tricky trip to Torpoint but theyve managed to sneak up on the rail almost unnoticed. If they manage to win both games and snatch the title, it will be down to hard work, talent and team spirit, certainly not the budget!
