Steve Carpenter got a reaction from Luke Gibbons in February Kick Off Times
Me and the better half went out for a walk at about 10 to 5 yesterday.  It was grey and overcast all day but was light when we went out.  Sunset was at 5:12 where we are (5 minutes earlier in Saltash, yes, sadly I checked) and the light started to go at about 5:20.  Sunset changes by about 2 minutes a day so even on a grey day like yesterday a 3pm KO shouldn't be too much of an issue for most.  There were no issues with 3pm KO's in the previous seasons of St Piran even for the 50% without lights.
The change to 3pm for those that had previously only ever had 2:30 KO's was well received from the feedback I had as it allowed more time for travel and less rushing around post Saturday morning work.  The clubs have the opportunity to change this at the AGM should they wish to and there is the facility in League Rules to bring the KO time forward if all are in agreement.

Yes Dave.  Rule 22b(xxv) covers that.  If a team withdraws from a division then one less team is relegated.

Steve Carpenter got a reaction from Dave Deacon in Step 6 2024-25 applicants
The NLS Regs haven't changed John and still say 'two steps between' but the FA's current interpretation of that is that the first team has to be at Step 4 which means that Mousehole are eligible and Falmouth will be if the first team gain promotion.  Why they're reluctant to change the regs to say that and make it absolutely clear is a bit of a mystery.

Steve Carpenter got a reaction from Thecupfootballblogger in Applications to get promoted.
The promotion and relegation arrangements are all laid down in League Rules which can be found in the library notice on the Full-Time home page.
Promotion to the SWPL from the Premier Divisions is  by application to the FA.  One team can be promoted from each division and must finish in the top 4 possibly 5.
Promotion to the Premier Divisions is by application and two teams can be promoted from each of the Division One's. To be eligible they must finish in the top 4 or the top 5 if a reserve team that cannot be promoted finishes in the top 4.
The top two teams in each Division 2, 3 and 4 will be automatically promoted.
The bottom two teams in all divisions, bar the two Division 4's, will be relegated but the number of relegations will be reduced by the number of teams any given divsion is short by.  In the case of the Premier Divisions if there are no successful promotion applicants or relegation would reduce numbers below the required 14 for NLS Regional Feeder League status there would be no relegation.
The bottom two in each Division 4 would need to apply for re-election.
In other words 2 up 2 down with adjustments for gaps and caveats between the D1's and Premier Divisions.

No they won't and no, its not as simple as that.
Very much on the plus side, the word I'm getting is that Chacewater will be trying to keep going.

If this is true, and as of now (8am Monday) I've heard nothing at all, it will be a great shame to lose such a long established club with a great history.

Free referee courses are currently being advertised by Cornwall FA.  Prior to this season the leagues contributed funds to heavily subsidise courses with limited success.  Lee Swabey and the refereeing department are working as hard as they can to address the shortage and are I believe making some progress but it's a long way from being a quick fix.

The only limit is that clubs can register up to 50 players per team for free.  After that a small fee is payable for every player over that number.

The release of the Southern League fixtures is also frustrating the compilation of the St Piran League fixtures in the west as Mousehole Development games can't be sorted until their first team fixtures are known and this rolls on down through the divisions.  We've been asking questions and not really getting any answers - until today.  We now know that a company called Atos does all of the fixtures from the Premier League down to Step 4 and has done for the last 10-15 years.  It starts with the Premier League and  works down with (obviously) Step 4 being the last to be done.  Atos has visibility of all of the ground shares across the pyramid which is one of the reasons why the FA contract them, a situation that I understand will not change.  Whilst this doesn't alleviate the St Piran Leagues frustrations at least we now know why and we can stop badgering the Southern League officials.  Should Mousehole Development achieve their ambition of promotion to the SWPL Phil will also have a similar problem when putting his fixtures together which may create further delays down the chain.

The first thing to note is that the AGM is much later this year than it will be next as we've had to wait for the other leagues to close down and disperse their funds.
The other is that as more Cornish clubs progress further up the NLS ladder the more complex the fixtures become.  Phil H is always early with his as he's on the ball and has no reserve team conflicts to manage (while Truro Res are at Tregye); the Western League had theirs out a week or so ago - and then made 35 changes without telling anyone; the Southern League fixtures are out next week I think.  That has a ripple effect all the way down in the west for example as Mousehole Devs fixtures can't be done until the SL ones are out which in turn means that the the reserve or other teams of the sides that the Devs play can't get theirs sorted and so on down the divisions.  Easy it ain't!!
A little bit of patience is needed.  We want the fixtures done as much as you do but it will take a little time.
