  1. I think River Allen and Carlo Garside too? But no complaints from us. You play what’s in front of you and Bude haven’t done anything wrong. We did enough to win it but some come back from Bude. All the best for the season.
  2. Line up is irrelevant; I think there was only one ‘first teamer’ in the side. Not sure if he’s on a trial period or working his way back to fitness - perhaps both, but that’s the point of having a Reserve team so absolutely no grievances at our end.
  3. Good mix of young lads learning their trade and some experienced heads to learn from. Felt we dominated proceedings bar a 10 minute spell or so before the half in which Truro levelled. We were disappointed in the manner of it but the striker finished well. City then scored as the game drew to a close against the run of play. Entertaining game with two good footballing sides on show. Best of luck to Truro for the rest of the season, think they’ll find their feet soon enough and push on a bit more.
  4. Fair and accurate assessment. We never really got going, credit to Saltash. Best of luck to them in the next round and the rest of their season ahead. Thanks Phil, good people seemingly at Saltash too and a good leader in Macca. Going to get you a scarf Town Man, the amount you’ve seen us of late and positive comments. A big game CSC fixture early next month before just solely league focus, always nice to have a cup run in the CSC or WPC.
  5. Good to see Rikki Smith making the step into officiating though (regardless of the white boots and socks); a good local footballer who probably still had a few seasons left in him - fair play to him.
  6. @Paul does a really good authentic one from a fan’s perspective behind the goal they’re attacking. Good player engagement, interaction and viewpoint. Falmouth did do a Veo package highlight reel lat season on their Twitter, as did Wadebridge and Newquay (perhaps a couple others too) in the SWPL.
  7. First our chips, now our pitch Rocky! Probably not the best it’s looked at this time of year but near immaculate. Few rough patches in areas due to hosting our annual Sharon Wood tournament on it a couple of weeks ago and our pitch funnily enough tends to improve over the course of the season. Slightly green and black tinted perhaps but no doubt they played the conditions better than us and had the better of the chances on the day. Deserved winners and best of luck for their season ahead.
  8. Can’t go wrong with either any of those. Helston best food Falmouth best atmosphere Mousehole best team I’d vote Wendron obviously. Best ground in my eyes, certainly most unique. Pitch won several awards over past 10 years or so - admittedly Mousehole’s is top notch now and looks spectacular in photos. For us, debut season in FA Cup, potentially best game as well v St Blazey. Nicked us to the SWPL title last year by 3 points. Beat us on our patch last year but we beat them on theirs final game of the season, so should be a good fixture too. £6/£3 concessions

  10. Thanks all. I know it’s not a huge saving, but even local football can add up every week and if we can help out whilst getting a few more through the gate then that’s a bonus. Maybe not a Michelin star meal Rocky but a decent lunch/afternoon stomach liner. CTB, no doubting that Pete is somewhat a bit of a legend at the club but there’s a strong team around him too from Emma our stewardess, the team in the kitchen, the ground staff and the management at all levels throughout the club - inc. youth that do so much more than just ‘manage’ (as I know they do at all clubs). We are also running our season ticket this season, which for just £50 (£40 for u16&concessions) gets you access to all 1st and 2nd team home fixtures. More info on both here for those interested: Matchday ticket: https://www.wendronunitedafc.co.uk/news/matchday-ticket--new-for-23-24---£10-matchday?id=431407 Season ticket: https://www.wendronunitedafc.co.uk/news/ticket-update--23-24-season-ticket-now-on-sale?id=431405
  11. Sorry - just to add. Good day for Alan Buckley - top man and got to see his twin sons play against each other yesterday. Sam for Blazey and Tyler for ourselves, picking up 1st and 2nd respectively.
  12. Thanks 100%. It’s Mike O’Neill though, Josh McDonald is his assistant which is where you may have got that from and Bryan Scoffin is the other member of the management team. Enjoyable game yesterday. Blaise Park was looking great, supported by a good crowd and atmosphere. Nice touch involving the youth setup too. Congratulations to Blazey again on their league win and best of luck for next season in the Western League.
  13. Congratulations to St Blazey for securing the title tonight. Well deserved over the course of the season. Please forgive our lack of Twitter congratulations but our account has been compromised by someone in Washington DC, unless we are under takeover of a US consortium. We look forward to taking on the champions at Blaise Park this weekend.
