So basically  =  Bude, Launceston, Polperro, Penryn already into Quarter finals

one from St.Day or Wendron  (playing midweek)

one from St.Mawgan or St.Austell  (playing midweek)

two from Hayle, Mullion, Illogan,

A strong last 8 whoever 👍🏆

If two teams end on the same points, will the positions be determined by head-to-head or goal difference?

Pretty sure it’s goal difference 👍 Would presume the group winners will be at home in the quarter finals against the group runners up as the away teams as per usual comps, with the semis maybe an open draw on neutral grounds?

Rumours on another thread suggest that the group winners  are strangely handed an away game..

according to the cup rules sent out.

Quarter Finals:
a. Runner Up West 1 v Winner East 1
b. Runner Up West 2 v Winner East 2
c. Runner Up East 1 v Winner West 1
d. Runner Up East 2 v Winner West 2

Semi-finals as follows:

Winner match 'a' v Winner match 'd'
Winner match 'b' v Winner match 'c'

No need to worry as it's been found that home advantage in football is on average almost entirely wiped out in closed doors matches. Historically, home teams win 46% of the time in matches with fans, but only 36% of the time when there are no fans. The away team wins 26% of the time with fans, and 34% without fans.

These differences are primarily because the home team scores fewer goals when there aren’t any fans.

Penryn Athletic completed their League fixtures in the @StPiranLeague cup with a five nil win over @PerranwellAFC. Four wins out of four means they finish top of the West 1 league and progress to the quarter finals of the competition. Date to be confirmed.

The first goal arrived on seven minutes when Nick Boase headed in from a Jake Shaw free kick. Jake Shaw was taken down in the box on 22 minutes and Ryan Reeve slotted the penalty for two nil. Five minutes before half time, it was three. The Perranwell defence struggled to clear a corner and the ball ended up in the net off an attempted clearance.

After a great run from Connor Powell, James Daniel had a simple task to finish on 60 minutes. As full time approached Jake Shaw got his reward for a man of the match performance, when he finished off a fine Tyler Cooke cross.

Currently Wendron and St Day on the same amount of points...

We play each other on Wednesday night. Should the game be a draw, what would happen? I believe our goal difference is the same, head to head wouldn’t apply so I guess this would go down to goals scored?

Just seen St Day have one goal advantage over Wendron so this wouldn’t apply
