St.Austell Res. 5 Morwenstow 3.

Another 3 points for this highly entertaining St.Austell side, they rode their luck at times against a physically and more experienced Morwenstow outfit, but they stuck to the task despite being reduced to 10 men for the last 20 minutes.

Mark Rose in the middle, did an excellent job.

Redruth 3 - 2 Helston res

On balance of play we would feel a draw would have been a fair result. All credit to Redruth who stuck to their game plan and took the chances when they came their way

Was a very good competitive game by as you said two even matched teams, when you went 2 nil up thought we were done for but kept playing the football to make the score level at half time with two well taken goal. Second half we seemed to sit back and let you come at us and started to lose our concentration a bit. Then knuckled down still playing football. Then the killer punch in time added on from a very well worked move we got the winner. Good game of football for the neutral and well reffed, nice to see a ref let teams tackle.

What's the situation at Penryn ? they were fancied to win the league at the beginning of the season, but have managed only the one win.
A long way to go yet admittedly, but not the start that was expected of them.

Absolutely We Two. But. Watching yesterdays game on the bench next to me was half of last years team having a beer...all long term injuries I'm afraid!

Sings...Things can only get better.

Illogan looking very strong this season after breezing past a struggling Hayle side that were fancied! A friend of mine saw this game and said illogan looked very powerful, game plan and stuck to it, ball forward quickly and play in final third. He was told a few players missing for Hayle through injury but was not told who, so could be just excuses for the poor result. Maybe someone from Hayle could clarify.

Illogan are the best side I’ve seen so far, lots of energy throughout the side, always constructive from the sidelines and they seem to be getting the best out of there squad.

All the talk about St Day and Penryn even myself got sucked in but so far It’s Mullion and Illogan are the two sides that will fight it out for the title.

The league is shaping up good and looks to be and exciting season ahead
