Simple answer to this one .

Any games changed AFTER Paul Murphy has done the monthly appointments

DO NOT automatically get a ref .....

If he has any spares on Friday / Saturday they will get one .

Trelawny League no longer have to release refs to fill voids in other Leagues for late changes to fixtures .

There are also a few other points to consider. Referee location, referee level, whether they've passed the fitness test etc.

Plenty of factors involved. It's not a case of "but we are a senior club, we should get priority". The Trelawny League clubs also pay a Referee Appointments fee to the County.

Its just unfortunate. Some of the Trelawny sides go without referees on more than a few occasions over the course of the season.

Maybe someone from Falmouth/Illogan could step up and do it like the Trelawny League guys do?

There is a point though where you have to call it a day so that people can do something else.

Trelawny clubs aren't allowed to postpone before mid-day due to the lack of a referee because one often becomes available.  It would appear that earlier postponements are permitted in the Combination and that is entirely their call.  The St Keverne v TMS referee has now been re-appointed to a Trelawny fixture that didn't have one.

Redruth linesman outstanding today, gave a goal that got cleared off the line which the ref wouldn't have been able to give but he was honest and gave it. Told the ref a foul was committed by his own player which led to a yellow card ( ref had given a goal kick) not many linesmen would be as honest as Redruths today, so bravo and well done.

I have to agree with 'keepers' comments on this one, the Redruth linesman was very fair which is true of most of the people that run the line regularly...there is always the exception but having said that we can make mistakes the same as the ref and you will find this hard to believe but some players!!!!!....

the game at Redruth was a bit of a battle due to the weather and pitch being a bit heavy but both sides tried to play.....fairly even up to half time but st Ives used the conditions well in the second half and scored some well worked goals to run out worthy winners in the end...

nice spread afterwards at the pub and good luck to Redruth for the rest of the season.....

CCL Result:

Carharrack 5 Holmans 1

(Ed Wilton x 3, Mark Hollands & James Davies) (Tom Hogarth)

For the second week in a row no yellow cards and no abuse from any players!

A 10 minute purple patch from the start saw Carharrack take a 3-0 lead, no to be out done Holmans captain Tom Hogarth went one on one with the goalkeeper to make claw one back just after 30'.

Just before the interval match official Elliott Green awarded Carharrack a direct free kick. Upstepped Mark Hollands who placed the ball into the back of the net.

HT 4-1

At the restart driving rain caused conditions to worsen but each team still attack.  Holmans were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty but the match official gave a direct free kick on the very edge of the box.

With the rain hammering down the ball started to stick but 5 minutes from time Ed Wilton completed his hat trick by rounding the keeper much to the delight of the home crowd.

Man of the match: Jake Shaw

Thanks for Holmans for coming back and enjoying the drinking contest.

Why do you think they should have had a penalty Richard?
