Illogan RBL 6 Redruth United 0

After conceding 6 last week Illogan perked up a bit and went into a 3 - 0 lead in just 9 minutes. 1 - 0 (2), a Cundy header from a left wing corner, 2 - 0 (6) a header from a left wing cross in open play, then a Cundy header from another left wing corner on 9.

4 - 0 (24) and I think that was another headed goal after the striker chipped the 'keeper and had to finish off from close range as the ball bounced. 5 - 0 just before half time (42), a good diagonal move from right to the left near post.

Only 1 goal 2nd half, the best IMHO, a low drive from the left channel on 64.

At least in this game an Illogan team did better down the slope (1st half)!

The ref allowed no added-on time in the 2nd half, playing just seconds over the 45 by my stop watch. No reason apparent: the light was okay and the pitch was holding up well. With so many games off today, credit to the club.

Hot choc still a quid, very warming. Some good banter and company in the stand as usual except Mona missed this one: not a lot to moan about in this one!

Camborne School of Mines 1-2 Threemilestone

A decent game at Falmouth school 4g played in tricky conditions saw tms make it 2 wins on the bounce against a very good CSM team.

With a gale force from end to end it was always going to be a test for both sides. Playing against the wind 1st half Tms stuck to the game plan, kept the ball on the deck & enjoyed the lions share of possession. Csm caught us on the counter after 25 mins when their #9 (who was superb) headed home from 12 yards into the top corner. We went in at ht 1-0 down but feeling like the hard part was done.

Typically when we returned for the 2nd half the wind was all but gone 😂. We started the 2nd half on top & got the equaliser 10 mins later when Alex Hayhoe arrived at the back post & finished well. With 20 mins to go tms got the winner when "The Big'un" Matt Mcilroy was fed the ball on the right hand side of the box & he did what he has always done, which is find the back of the net. Csm pushed for a late equaliser but it wasn't to be & we took all 3 points.

Cant praise Csm enough, they have some really good players, especially their front 6 who were all class, man for man they are probably the best side we have played, I think being students & not having a manager hurts them to be honest.

Hard to pick out a player for tms, everyone was 7-8/10, great to have Nick Boase on board, he was very solid alongside Tom Goodman at cb, but mom goes to Alex Hayhoe who ran his socks off in the middle of the park & got his goal.

Fair play to Illogan, battered us from start to finish, unfortunately we had five senior players pull out on Friday and Saturday morning, which is less than ideal against the big rival, but fair play to the second teamers who stepped in to help us out and field A Side, hopefully boxing day will be a closer game.

All too common it seems at the moment. So many drop out late! Well done to the lads that stepped in.

To be honest what I seen on Saturday the Res gave more of a fight when they came on in the last 30 mins. They had 1, 2 good  chances in front of goal but didn’t back out of any challenges  what I was seeing in the first half

And Marksy is back 😎

Merely asking if they were James players from what I’m reading it looks as though he’s saying perhaps two things .

1 . The lads that came on wanted it more than what was out there or no 2 perhaps these players should be in the first team regularly.

Not really back Martin the forum is pretty boring these days too many people as always hiding behind fake accounts slagging managers players refs if you want to do that it’s fine but at least have the balls to allow people to know who the conversation is with.
I still say anyone on here should be vetted in how ever they do it but the admins aren’t bothered either.

Some names on here purposely slag off teams clubs players managers looking through there posts everything is negative how is that even allowed .
I presume there entitled to an opinion !!!

What a crock of crap

Hope your well Martin 😊Merry Xmas
