Combellack Vehicle Recyclers East Cornwall Premier League Results Sat 22nd April

Anyone know why Foxhole and St Dennis still have to play each other at Foxhole but neither team are playing on Saturday and Govarseth has no game on it. Seems crazy when Foxhole are so far behind that they don’t have a fixture on a Saturday. They play each other twice  in the space of 3 days soon…. Sure there’s a sensible reason??????

Thought the same. Also confused as to why the Foxhole v Nanpean game is now showing as postponed for the 26th.

Nanpean asked to reverse the fixture to foxhole Wednesday because their changing rooms are out of use. Originally meant to be at Nanpean, Bunty agreed forgetting that the youth have booked the pitch for Wednesday night so we asked if it could be played either Tuesday or Thursday which Nanpean refused

Baffling. Shame it couldn't be moved.

St Stephens 5-2 Looe Town.

A good game played by St Stephens. Looe were poor today and heads went down after St Stephens scored their second.
disappointing after a great game on Thursday.
Good luck to St Stephens for the remaining part of the season and we’ll try to bounce back next week. 🤞

St Newlyn East 1-1 North Petherwin.

Point shared in this one, before a very noisy but fun home crowd.

Petherwin very unlucky not to take all 3 points especially with a goal ruled out for 'very tight' offside. Both teams battled well with the St Newlyn keeper being the stand out performer... very decent game today.

Probably would have taken a point at the start if you’d offered me it with key players missing through injury, work or the dreaded ‘stag do’!

Our choice for our MoM also went to our keeper Ross Emery - normally a defender- but standing in for our regular stopper Nathan Prentice who was away on a lads weekend!!

Good luck to North Petherwin for the rest of their season.

Good game on the whole in very wet conditions. 1st half was fairly even in which scoreline reflected. 2nd half i thought we at Petherwin dominated and were very unlucky to not come away with the 3 points. Some major decisions in that second half just didn't go our way, disallowed goal, penalty shout and a very lucky Owen London not getting sent off for a leading arm which cracked our defender Nathan Farrars tooth and leaving him looking like Lloyd Christmas
