Paul
What a result for Bovey. Turned up with ten players and took a point. St Blazey just can't score enough goals. Ridiculous result. Watched Argyle huff and puff for a 0v0 draw. A side with 18 clean sheets yet powder puff going forward. Actually, not even that good. Roll on next season. leedsunited
Ouch Paul! Are you saying the leagues bottom team with 4 points turned up at Blazey with 10 players & held your team to a draw? No wonder St.Austell are picking up alot of the neutral supporters after results like that

They also have a good reason as only in that the long suffering supporters have only seen 7 victories over three seasons at Bickland Park from 53 League games played.Falmouth have not beaten Saltash in their last 8 SWP League games (1D-& 7L) in 4 seasons. Gongolan
Newquay v camelford poor game from two teams at the wrong end of the league ,Newquay one up in first 10 mins when floated cross from free kick goes over defence and keeper. This was then followed by 2 farcical own goals Newquay striker gets away after defensive hesitation and as fullback challenges the ball loopes over keeper and next goal is headed into own net as keeper fails to claim second half much the same although camelford start to put some passes together and get back in game with header from good corner delivery.newquay didn't offer much going forward but didn't need to. Ref did make some dodgy decisions but was as bad for both sides
leedsunited
Looks like bottom 5 clubs are going to be cut adrift from the rest in their own mini league? Stoke gabriel winning yesterday pulls them away from Falmouth, Newquay, Camelford (games in hand) & Elburton along with Bovey

Paul
One of those days I hear that could have ended in a double figures win but just couldn't get the break to take the lead. Crap result yes but alls not lost. Results were decent yesterday. Argyle no better. Wouldn't have scored if we stayed there til xmas. And I'm not talking about this coming xmas!! ? The attendance on Saturday was very disappointing and I wonder how on earth clubs survive on such poor gate receipts. Bearing in mind the cost of the Referee and his assistants, which I gather were quite high on Saturday, clubs are on a hiding to nothing. I see the Referee came from Lanner, some 56 miles away!!!Saltash United are top of the league and play some attractive football, so why the low attendance? BIG AL
Why a ref has to travel such a distance beggars belief! There is only one reason and that is to maximise his expenses - DISGUSTING !
bighairydave
Big Al the referee has no choice where he goes! And many referees, including myself, past and present, have capped mileage to reduce costs but still travel to as many grounds as possible! BIG AL
Then who is responsible for organising the refs venue - the infamous cornwall fa I presume ?
bighairydave
Incorrect again. It's a league official who appoints!
skyblueref
What's your answer then AL. Get Martin Ault to ref your beloved Falmouth every other home game, alternating with Tim Burley as they're your nearest level 4's.
BIG AL
Incorrect again. It's a league official who appoints! In that case, the league official should consider all the options available. Last season, an evening fixture at Falmouth was officiated by a ref from EXETER and linesmen from Plymouth. SOME EXPENSES BILL !
Dave Deacon
Apologies if I'm thinking of the wrong game - but there was a game at Falmouth last season when Nigel D'Arcy was in the match programme as the ref and indeed it had that he was from Exeter.I had, at an earlier match queried this, and in fact he had moved to Wadebridge to live. droskynstarman
Saw my beloved Perranporth for the first time in four years on Saturday. Must say they started very well and were the better team in the first 15-20 mins. Couldnt maintain that start although they still competed and didnt deserve to be 4-1 down at the break. Second half was a different story im afraid, four or five players lost interest and concentration including the keeper also a big difference in the fitness between the two teams. Still it was good to be back.
