I remember whilst playing for Aggie under Martyn and Phil Kellow, meeting Dan whilst working at RCHT Treliske and playing 5a side at Carn Brea. I helped get him to St Agnes and what a signing. Great bloke, fantastic footballer and truly honoured to personally know Dan, WOW where has 18 years gone !!!

After 18 years playing for St Agnes AFC 1st Team our St Agnes AFC Legend Dan O'toole is hanging up his boots. Finishing on a high by scoring the winning goal in our last match of the 2023/24 Season.
Through highs and lows over the years Dan has been loyal, reliable and consistent - A true 'Aggie Warrior'.
We are all looking forward to hosting his Testimonial in aid of Cancer Research UK on Sunday 19th May and would love to welcome everyone to Enys Parc.

Mandy K Aggiemaid reacted to r_and_l in St Agnes V Mousehole dev
Another good crowd of about 60 were there to watch St Agnes come up against probably one of the best footballing sides in the division. Opening exchanges were pretty even. Curtis pay should have done better when well placed on the edge of the box, but allowed the defender to close him down. Mousehole went 1-0 up after good work. Again Aggie had a chance to equalise but failed to hit the target. The visitors then made it 2-0 before the break. At this point Aggie hadn’t done an awful lot wrong but the football being played by mousehole was worth the entrance fee. Second half continued in much the same vain Aggie playing well but the visitors just had an answer for everything Aggie did. Connor hurrell making it 3-0 with a jinking run down the left before firing high into the net. An odd one to go 4-0 down a rush of blood from the home keeper saw him out of his goal allowing the mousehole. Player the simple task of tapping into an empty net. The 5th was a very odd decision from the ref. A shot from the mousehole player was charged down by Cory only for it to hit his hand. It didn’t look in a unnatural position but the ref pointed to the spot instantly. He had a good game up to that point but I think he got this one wrong. The visiting player duly stroked it home. Although soundly beaten I think 5-0 was a harsh score line. Mousehole and Aggie conducted themselves very well all game. If they keep this up Aggie will do just fine. As for mousehole they will take some beating if they continue to play the way they did today.   Much like mousehole Aggie are a young side. Both sets of players did their managers proud today.

Glorious day In St Agnes and the Aggie team again faced an experienced side in Falmouth. Both sides playing some good football, all the early attacks from Falmouth were started by the evergreen Andy Miles who looks in terrific shape for his age! 👏. But it was Aggie who took the lead another experienced head in Dan o’toole sliding liam Paddock in who made no mistake 1-0. Then a penalty was given away by the Falmouth keeper and the Aggie player Curtis  calmly slotted to make it 2-0. Second half was fairly even,Falmouth probably just edging the attacks. Falmouth made it 2-1 and this led to a bit of an onslaught for the Aggie defence but it held strong with Logan Capeling and reuben chant (16) both having excellent games. The keeper also deserves a mention as he was epic today. Aggie finally ending the game as 2-1 winners. Good football played by both sides, Miles and Connor Mcarthy standing out for Falmouth.

A special part of our Charity Vets fixture today at Enys Parc was Martyn Kimmins being presented with a certificate and trophy from Cornwall FA for 25 years service to Grassroots Football. During that time Martyn managed the St Agnes AFC 1st team for 25 years, spent 20 years coaching the ladies team, managed the St Agnes Bolster Veterans, set up the Walking Football team and managed a boys youth team for 5 seasons as well - plus a multitude of other roles. Thank you to Steve Carpenter for coming along today to surprise him and show how much he is appreciated for his massive contribution as a volunteer within Grassroots Football in Cornwall! Well done Kimmo and thank you!
