Mandy K Aggiemaid
A special part of our Charity Vets fixture today at Enys Parc was Martyn Kimmins being presented with a certificate and trophy from Cornwall FA for 25 years service to Grassroots Football. During that time Martyn managed the St Agnes AFC 1st team for 25 years, spent 20 years coaching the ladies team, managed the St Agnes Bolster Veterans, set up the Walking Football team and managed a boys youth team for 5 seasons as well - plus a multitude of other roles. Thank you to Steve Carpenter for coming along today to surprise him and show how much he is appreciated for his massive contribution as a volunteer within Grassroots Football in Cornwall! Well done Kimmo and thank you! Dave Deacon, RAPPO, Tommy Matthews and 3 others
cornishteddyboy
Greatly deserved. I have watched local football for 48 seasons now and for many of them, if you went to St Agnes to watch a game, be it Combo, Mining, Ladies, Vets, youth, who would be there, Mandy running around getting the bar ready, selling raffle tickets, and Martyn who would be inside the dugout. I wonder how many lads and lasses, boys and girls have been helped in their soccer careers by them both. As I say, well deserved.
