Asking £6 to watch a team that only finished runners up a massive 3 pts behind the champions, a quid for a programme that has only got the 2 teams line ups, officials, league tables and other info we’d be forced to read, and probably a massive £3 for a hot sausage and chips and a cup of tea on a cold winters day, and having the nerve to ask a tenner for just that!!! Don’t they know minimum wage is now about £10.50 an hour?? Who could afford that when people are out there getting bargains like £13 for a pack of fags or £6 for a pint! I know it’s not a huge saving, but even local football can add up every week and if we can help out whilst getting a few more through the gate then that’s a bonus. Maybe not a Michelin star meal Rocky but a decent lunch/afternoon stomach liner. CTB, no doubting that Pete is somewhat a bit of a legend at the club but there’s a strong team around him too from Emma our stewardess, the team in the kitchen, the ground staff and the management at all levels throughout the club - inc. youth that do so much more than just ‘manage’ (as I know they do at all clubs). We are also running our season ticket this season, which for just £50 (£40 for u16&concessions) gets you access to all 1st and 2nd team home fixtures.
