Gone under the radar on here (understandable given it's a Cornish forum), but good luck to Brixham in their FA Vase last 32 tie. Always an achievement to get "beyond Christmas" in this competition.

Gave it a mention on the podcast too 👍 In fact come to think of it, we also said good luck to Bridgwater and Buckland :c:

St.Blazey v Newquay   OFF

Popped in Blazey on my way home from work at 9am and saw Lafs, Paul and Terry coming out! The swimming pool behind the clubhouse end goal suggested the game would be off!!  Paul’s squelching shoes gave the game away! Not sure it would have suited two good footballing teams!  🤔😀️  Well done to anyone who manages to get their game on today! The rain and wind between 2am to 4am in Truro this morning was almost hurricane stuff!!! 😳

Another game completed for the league leaders and although an impressive looking 8-1 scoreline in Wendron's favour, Callington never deserved to lose by that margin, but as we all know goals win games!

Conceding the four goals in all but ten minutes before the half-time break, on top of the 25th minute opening goal from Lucas Potts must have been a killer for Callington manager Shaun Vincent and his side!

However they did come out and score early in the second half through Alex Lowe (hopefully I've got the right name as I don't think all their players wore the correct shirt numbers!). This 52nd minute goal in the end proved to be nothing more than a consolation one, as again like in the first half, Wendron struck late on with Charlie Young adding to his two first 45 minute goals, with another 3 in the last 8 minutes of the match!

Cam Wheat and Ryan Reeve both scored to add to Potts' opening goal before Charlie Young took over with his 5!

Here's how the top seven places look after today's results with Dobwalls 4-2 win at Sticker taking them to within 2 points of the two clubs above them and adds to what we hope will be an exciting second-half of the season as the prize for sure for the top four is Step 5 football next season.

I consider Wendron to be in a strong position to win the league. Teams with many games in hand struggle to maintain their PPG. Similarly, but to a lesser extent, Bude for 4th place.

Always debatable isn’t it - better to have the points, or the games in hand! 😀

Certainly 4 toughies in a row but you play everyone twice, no matter in what order. The weather may split them apart a bit. Add the points up at the end of the season, not January.
