  1. Some clubs seem to be treating this time like pre-season though and playing players that are still signed on with other clubs
  2. Phil and Paul Wearing play for Liskeard seconds. Their brother Chris is the keeper at Millbrook
  3. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ was at one club for approx 6 years, helped out friends at two clubs briefly before going to Callington and now at Liskeard. Not the coach? - are you at all the training sesssions? Nah didn’t think so! Seeing as he has taken every single one since he has been there πŸ˜‚ and Woodsy and Hodgey know what his plans and aspirations are - hence why he was brought in by them πŸ˜‚
  4. If that’s the case then would have thought that the first team and managers and those with them would have known who they were/known their names and not had to sign them on in the changing room half an hour before kick off!
  5. Nice try but Lee isn’t even on this forum πŸ‘
  6. Both managers have played at SWPL level and apart from a couple of the youngest players (who have never played Duchy football only higher), the rest have played at SWPL level as well. All players have to start somewhere anyway, do you think players are born into south western?!
  7. I see what you are saying but unfortunately the league disagrees with you. Had clarification that the 7 day rule of approach should still apply and clubs can still be fined! But a lot of the time clubs expect it to happen so just let it slide. Think what is more important is that the players are not covered by any insurance. Have known players to break legs in friendlies and although the standard insurance doesn't pay out much, it is still better than nothing for those that are self-employed!
  8. If a player is signed on for one club then they can't play for another club, friendly or not! They are aren't covered under any insurance and it is classed as an illegal approach!
  9. Hi Rob, with a few of our regulars missing and four of our regular lads being only 17 (including our keeper), we did what we had to do to win the game. We didn't park the bus, our defence just played really well. I would have been furious if it was 5/6 - 1 at half time as our keeper only had to make a few saves throughout the whole game!! And to say the scoreline flattered us when everyone of the Torpoint side bar about two have played for the first team this season, six being regulars, and us only having to call on Paul McAdam as we were short , couldn't be further from the truth. Think you must have watched an entirely different game to everyone else that was there on Tuesday! No apology needed re not coming back to the clubhouse, completely understand! Please pass on my thanks to those that left the changing room tidy
  10. Thought you had a Goldophin and a Sticker lad there. I apologise if I got it wrong x
  11. First team keeper played because the keeper that was on the bench has been injured the majority of the season and was only there to warm up the other keeper. We had a defender who needed minutes after a ban as we were short and a midfielder as again we were short. You had I think 4 SWPL players playing for you. I keep repeating myself!! MY ISSUE IS NOT SWPL PLAYERS PLAYING IN ECPL, IT''S DROPPING REGULAR PLAYERS FOR FIRST TEAM PLAYERS PURELY TO WIN GAMES!!
  12. Great write up! But what concerns me is that they charged you an entrance fee when you've played for the team James! Perhaps you could raise that with the "experienced men in charge"!
