Darin Morse
Well done to Stoke Gabriel for fulfilling the fixture. Plenty of teams are struggling to get a side out. cornish leg end and middle mans mate
Bobjfh
St Dennis 2v3 Camelford Have to start with a big thank you to Reg - starting his 30th year as manager at the Camels - his loyalty and dedication to the club speaks volumes of the man and even if he is having to socially distance himself at the moment he was still directing play on the field away from the players. Lovely setting at St Dennis, pitch looked great and St Dennis is always a welcoming club with great facilities. Nice to sit in the sun with a beer watching the warm up and a good crowd for a ‘smaller’ fixture in the league. Camels started the brighter and their midfield controlled play - with the new shape back 4 comfortably dealing with long balls from St Dennis. Camelford wasted several chances (on another day winger Tom could have had a hat trick in the first 25). First goal came from captain Adam following a corner and poor clearance. Whilst Camels were looking comfortable - St Dennis were award a penalty - foul outside the box but the assistant Ref decided continued into the box - he was in line but seemed a bit harsh. Fantastic save by new goalie Buster and that seemed to drain St Dennis a bit. Camels took the initiative with a second goal from Josh, from a corner - calm finish. St Dennis have some very good players, imo, but they must be concerned how easily the Camels midfield walked through them on too many occasions. HT 0-2. Second half started with the Camels seeming to think the game was won and looked sloppy - which is dangerous against St Dennis who never give up until the final whistle. The game turned twice in the space of 3 minutes - firstly a speculative St Dennis cross (with only 3 Camels defenders and the goalie in the box). The Camels CB decided to header the ball to safety (he had no choice as no call from his team mates) and scored a worldie header from 20 yards - unfortunately in his own goal. I suddenly thought ‘game on’ but more or less from the restart Camels midfielder Ed (who was Camels top scorer and second top scorer for Cribbs in the Western Prem last season) curled a lovely left foot in from the edge of the box. St Dennis started using their two pacey wingers more and caused the Camels a lot more problems - dragging one back with a disappointedly defended solo run by Carlo 2v3. In a slightly naive move (solely imo as St Dennis had their tails up) - St Dennis changed formation to give three attacker - however this handed the midfield totally to the Camels who took control back of the game. A game that should have been comfortable for the Camels after their start ended up being tight, and every praise must go to St Dennis who could have ‘sneaked’ a point. A few rusty performances from some Camels players but nice to see Bobby back with 90 minutes after his horrible injury last season and also nice to see Reg with a full squad of 18+ players all of SWPL standard (and some above). Also nice to see all the lads back playing and staying late in the bar!! Good luck to St Dennis - they will cause teams problems and as I mentioned have some really good players. Also, big thank you to the officials who had good games - although like the players were a bit leggy at times Really like the Ref as he is one who will talk to players - irrespective of the decision he is approachable - unlike some who see any questions as a challenge. Easyyyy
Does anybody have the line ups for Dobwalls v Godolphin?
The Governor
Dobwalls v Godolphin It was an entertaining affair with the hosts dominating early on. They were 2 up and they would have been out of site if they hadn,t squandered a few chances. Godolphin were level before halftime, the equaliser came from a cross that caught in the wind to find its way into the far top corner. Dobwalls pressed forward after the break and 're took the lead. The visitors were then reduced to ten men and it allowed the hosts to score further goals to get their season off to a positive start. Godolphin battled but didn,t produce a lot in the final third. Hopefully they will not have anothe torrid season.

Just seen the list this week 😱😱😱😱 I think you will find that Sam was banned following playing for Sticker Res v St Mawgan. He allegedly punched a player - however from what I have heard it was retaliation for an offence not seen by the ref and the ban reflects a lot of St Mawgan social media - wasn’t there, so don’t know - but 18 months seems excessive (bans of this length usually involve assaults/threats on officials - also know it will be appealed.
