JoeyTheJoker Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 What is the estimated crowd to be attending? Best final in a long time im sure. Going for an illogan win. St Day forwards have not scored in a while. Joseph
j1mmy_t Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 Pitch will suit st,day alot more, their pace and fitness will prevail on Sunday. 3-1 st.day
tricksy Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 stday 3.0 illogan lack pace at the back and will struggle with stdays front players
JoeyTheJoker Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Posted March 29, 2013 Pretty sure St Day only have two strikers? Gavin Boon who will ruin Illogan, and Danny Ford who I believe to be lazy. Is there any others I've missed on?
stokefan1 Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 i dont know who will be in the illogan back four however dont see to have done to bad against st day frontline before plus gotta beat barry aswell as st day found out in league hardest challenge

Is there any others I've missed on? they have a good 4 to pick from with mikey davis and steve brewer as well as the 2 you have said already
S Abbo Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 Illogan on paper stronger team.. Just depends who turns up for the 90. Illogan to win 2-1
isaac rosenberg Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Good luck to Cloughie and the ex-Tinners in the St Day squad who won the cup with St Just earlier in the century.....I think you're going to need it today.Agree with above prediction: 2-1 Illogan, possibly after extra time !
cornishteddyboy Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Half-time St Day 2-1 Illogan RBL Att - 268
cornishteddyboy Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 70mins gone, score still the same.
RAPPO Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Congrats to everyone at St.Day, just reward for all the hard work that's been put into the club over the last few years. Think Illogan will cheer themselves up by winning the league next month anyway! Good luck to Wardy and the lads at Saltash tomorrow as well! Even though I live up East now I'm still a West boy at heart!!! :-)
isaac rosenberg Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Well done, St Day...makes things much more interesting than when the same team wins league and cup doubles.
ballsax Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Poor game of football. Illogan tried to play football, but couldn't put 5 passes together. St Day played long ball and it worked for them. Pitch and conditions weren't helpful for either side. Gavin Boon was superb for St Day, terrorising the Illogan defence. Probably best player on the pitch. Illogan goal from a penalty that never was, looked a great tackle from where we were. St Day first goal, nothing free kick into the box, poor missed clearance from the centreback, falling to Tolley? who finished well on the half turn. 2nd goal ball over the top bouncing between centreback and keeper, striker at the defenders back, defender seeing the ball back to the keeper, striker got round him and nipped in to put the ball past the keeper. Should of been put into row z. Other than that, couple of half chances but nothing to write home about. Banter behind the goal second half was more entertaining than the game.
ballsax Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Congrats to everyone at St Day, and commiserations to all at Illogan.
isaac rosenberg Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Is that their first ever senior trophy ? Well done ! Nice to see Matt Harris looking so smart. He wasn't due in court on a Sunday, was he ?
MJP Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Congratulations to Matt, Andy and all at St Day.
Wildee Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Will Craig Williams get a medal as a st Day player?....x
gillo10 Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Is that their first ever senior trophy ? Well done ! Nice to see Matt Harris looking so smart. He wasn't due in court on a Sunday, was he ? Rumour is he actually had a literacy test so he dressed smart for the occasion. Good to see him being pro active following the mis-spelling of names earlier in the season. Lets hope he didn't cheat on that too, wouldn't want the brown envelopes to end up in the wrong hands
ex no 9 Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 St Day players, management and everyone involved would like to dedicate this win to Mr Evans, Chairman of the football club who unfortunately couldn't be at the game today. This ones for you Tony.
ex no 9 Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 Message for Joey. St Day 2-1 winners. 1 striker scoring a goal. Dont give me your lottery numbers. Up the Saints. Down the joker.
Dave Deacon Posted March 31, 2013 Report Posted March 31, 2013 More photos can be found on the CORNISH SOCCER Gallery Man of the Match, St Day's Gavin Boon Chris Tolley, who levelled for St Day this afternoon
