  4. Yes Praze have another pitch with full changing facilities lined up, hoping to put forward a 2nd team next year. Quality and numbers at training has been superb so fingers crossed we will be voted in. The majority of new players were not playing last season, so good to be bringing more into the game. Praze have funded a number of improvements at nancegollan including new dug outs and perimeter fencing that will greatly improve for all. However, we are purely users of the pitch and have no input on which teams play there. No truth at all in Praze stopping anyone playing there. Happy days!
  5. Work is still ongoing, but for next season Praze FC will have dug outs and perimeter fencing. The dug outs are being built as we speak and are looking great! The porta cabins are what they are but have home and away rooms, showers and a referee changing room. Not luxury but I've been in much worse. Is combo still classed as senior football? I'm unsure...
  6. Looking back on your posts on the forum you look very negative SiJames. I'm sure you bring lots to the game if you look at the wider picture...
  7. The facilities at nancegollan are not the greatest. But the surface of the pitch is decent. You spend 5 mins getting changed. The club status is growing with the O'Connors involving local businesses to ensure the team turns up in matching shirts and tracksuits. The clubs that come back to the st aubyns arms, will probably agree its possibilly the best after match food. Not perfect, but we are working towards it...
  8. Stepping up to ref makes you realise why there are no refs around. When you get a decision right, half those on the pitch think you are wrong. All remember the odd decision you get wrong, but not the 100 you got right. Even when fair, as affiliated to one of the teams, you cant win. Refs need to be paid £30 a game minimum. I do it because I have to but dont mind too much. I've got lots to learn... We all need to respect the refs out there...
  9. I refd my first competitive match yesterday as no official ref available. It was a really tough game with lots of physicality, moaning and aggression. I gave what I saw and felt I was fair but it was not easy. I know most of the rules but cant say I know them all. I dont know the action I should take if I issue yellow or red cards for example. With the expectation that clubs must now provide a named ref, do the F A have any plans to offer training to support?
  10. Praze fc are organising a squad run in hayle on Sunday the 20th to raise money for our future club fees and a local charity which will get 50% of the funds raised. The charity that we’ve selected means a lot to us and I’m sure to many others too in - the man down charity. Man down are a charity who support men’s mental health in Cornwall. They offer a very informal, safe and relaxed environment for men of all ages 18+ who are struggling with any kind of mental health issues. Suicide is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in this country. From the recent ONS data, men accounted for 3/4 of suicide deaths registered in 2019. The average rate of deaths per 100k of men was 16.9, that equates to 4303 suicides in one year which is the highest in 20 years. So we as a club have challenged ourselves to run 16.9 miles to raise money and awareness for a great cause. Many of us are not the best athletes so oxygen tanks will be at the ready!! Us and Man Down have set up a go fund me page so it would be amazing if anyone would like to donate to see the link below. Thank you! https://www.gofundme.com/f/qrxraq-running-for-mental-health-man-down-cornwall?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet

  12. As one of the 2 managers of praze, this doesn't reflect my views. Yes frogpool threw a couple of arms and had a good moan. The young lad who did clearly stamp was visibly upset after being sent off and after a chat with him sure he will learn from it, hes a good player. Football without personalities is boring. It was an enjoyable afternoon and both sides left in good spirits. Played against loads worst..! Well reffed by Paul Minns who let the game flow.... great day for praze fc.
  13. So Danny Ford had a perfect hatrick in 4 mins & 30 secs today for Praze FC. Header, left foot, right foot. Has there ever been a quicker perfect hatrick? Near-perfect hatricks dont count..
  14. Isaac. Either state facts or bore off now. I've put the facts as they are. 100% accurate. Yeah, exactly like Trump....???🤣 And we dont have a players WhatsApp. Ohhhh
  15. If you have a look at the original reply on the previous weeks post you will see full details of why the match was rightly cancelled and with 2 negative tests since, then able to play this week. Was that your keepers first game? I thought he was outstanding! Well played fella. To be fair. Ben Tunnicliffe said to me that he was playing shit, not the team. Hence dropping to the 3rds..
  16. On Tuesday 22nd Sept, praze trained together. On the Thursday 2 players reported potential covid symptoms. On Friday night 2 more reported heavy colds. The right option was not to play. The 2 players with symptoms have both been tested and they came back as negative. Great news. Following advice those with heavy colds were not required to be tested. Government guidelines state we should isolate for 10 days. We did not train this week so that ends today. We have spoken to the FA and all good to play tomorrow. So a false alarm. But in my view, the correct decision. It could of been covid and no one should risk the potential to spread infection. The impacts on the players of both teams, the club reputation and subsequent spread to those most vulnerable, just isn't worth the risk.
  17. Hmm, it was a defo late challenge by Barrie (but we've all done them n prob the worst in the game but not the only one) and defo a red for fordy.. I dont think Ellis deserved a red but knew what he was doing winding Fordy up (hes good at that). Overall praze didn't play as well as usual but defended well n all players more than happy with superb performances.
  18. Portable buildings. Free to collector. They were praze fc changing rooms. 15m x, 3.2m. Both have electric. One has built in showers, a toilet kitchen. Both roofs will need covering as have small leaks. You just need to cover moving costs.
