dave bunt
I hope all these teams with reported covid realise that they can't play any fixtures for the next 10 days

dave bunt
Looe Town have 33 players registered, but can't play the game against Foxhole tomorrow. So number of players doesn't seem to count.
Dave Deacon
Presumably the League adopted some sort of agreed rules regarding being able to call games off?
St George
St Teath have 40 signed on too but have also postponed for alleged Covid reasons!!! Impossible for the league to manage if clubs call off for this reason unless they ask for evidence of positive tests/isolating but can’t see how this would work or even if they would be able to request this from clubs… Going to be a long season at this rate! Dave Deacon
SWPL introduced well in advance :- "clubs are reminded that Games can ONLY be Postponed by the League, and we will require as much notice as possible and evidence of actual players with Covid confirmed and/or instructed by the NHS to self isolate, even then if it’s the odd player only, clubs will still be expected to play on with non-affected registered players. Remember too that playing matches or training is NOT considered “close contact”. Clubs can still mitigate risks by using dressing rooms, transport and hospitality in as covid safe way as possible." How about we give some respect for clubs like St Teath who have kept going over the last few years, many have folded, out of those “40” 9 have retired and 3 are injured, and just like other clubs in this league they have players signed on from the duchy league as cover but those sides are playing too! The decision was made by both St Teath, Newquay and the league. It’s going to be a long season if people like you throw around the blame game, how about wish those in clubs with people unfortunate to have covid the best of luck and a speedy recovery. karaoke and JonColenzo
