Barry H
St Agnes 1 - 1 Helston Reserves Firstly, many thanks to St Agnes for paying out for the hire of the 3G to get the game on. Classic cliché of a game of 2 halves, Helston with the wind behind their backs and sporting 3 1st team lads played nice football through the thirds but rarely threatened the St Agnes keeper in anyway in the 1st half. 2nd Half and St Agnes upped their game, hitting the bar twice, forced 2 great saves from the Helston keeper and a few last ditch blocks from the Helston defence keeping St Agnes at bay until 10 minutes to go where they finally forced the ball home. Helston, huffing and puffing trying to catch St Agnes on the break woke up when going 1 behind and looked more menacing for the last 10, scoring a last minute equaliser to earn a point from a corner. Perhaps St Agnes will feel slightly more disappointed with a point than Helston but it wasn't far off being a fair result on the balance of play across the 90 minutes. Andys
Since when did 10+ subs only equal 30 seconds of extra time, not that it would have made any difference to the result, thanks again to St Ives for agreeing to reverse the fixture and for their hospitality, Merry Christmas everyone 🎄 Dagerags
