SHOE BOY DUCHY LEAGUE CUP

Nanpean Rovers              10-0              Week St Mary

CORNWALL AIRPORT NEWQUAY DUCHY LEAGUE

(received with thanks from Mike Newcombe)

Nanpean are the first team through to the quarterfinals of the Shoe Boy League Cup after thrashing Week St Mary 10-0. The holders were again in devastating form and have scored twenty-nine goals in their last two games. Jordi Willmott hit another hat trick with Ryan Best, Scott Brown and Reece Willmott all scoring twice. Luke Truscott added the other Nanpean goal.

St Newlyn East leapfrog Gunnislake into second place in the Premier Division after a 3-0 home win. Newlyn completely dominated their opponents in a one sided first half but amazingly went into the break goalless. The deadlock was finally broken in the 59th minute when Dan Parsonage put the hosts ahead. Newlyn sealed an impressive win with a Callum Faulkner brace in the 64th and 85th minutes.

Stoke Climsland top of the table hosted Boscastle and had two players drop out late on to leave them to play the entire game with ten men. As a result they suffered a 10-2 home hammering a real smack in the face to the manager and committee from some of their own players. Dan Piper scored four goals for Boscastle with Jacob Williams adding a brace. The visitors tally was completed by Sam Haddy, Dan Capstick, Dan Piper and an own goal. Andrew Spokes scored both Stoke goals.

Tregrehan Mills came from behind to beat Tintagel 3-1. Tintagel took a 26th minute lead following a good cross with Nick Hardcastle converting. Mills were level within a minute when Dean Dingle fired in a clever free kick. After the break Mills took over control of the game with Rory Barnicle scoring a debut goal from close range and Dingle getting his second in the 75th minute.

St Merryn remain just above the bottom two after being beaten 2-0 at home by Lostwithiel. Jonny Harris and Jordan Cummings were the scorers.

Altarnon maintain their unbeaten record following a 4-1 win at AFC Bodmin. The hosts lone reply came from Mike Horne.

The top of the table clash in Division One resulted in second placed Lanivet Inn retaining their 100 percent record with a 2-1 win at Foxhole reserves. Lanivet hit the table toppers with two goals in the first half from James McNary and Spencer Hartill. Foxhole pulled one back after the break direct from a corner by Rhys Lamy but failed to add to their total and see their advantage at the top reduced to four points and having played three more games.

Pensilva beat Polperro reserves 6-0 and it’s the return of Sam Rogers that has made the difference. All season the club has played good football without the finishing touch. Rogers scored twice to lead his team to a comfortable win. Jacob England, Zak Mitchell, Jack Penhaligon and Jack Hicks were the other scorers.

Bude Town reserves secured a seventh win from seven games to close the gap on the top two in Division Two. They beat St Cleer reserves 7-0 in a morning kick off game to ease their fixture backlog.

North Hill after eight successive defeats opened their account for the season with a 4-3 home win over Lostwithiel reserves. Martin Budge, Josh Legg, Brad Stevens and Scott Martin scored for North Hill with Callum Chillingworth, Nathan Cummings and Alan Worth replying for Lostwithiel

Honours ended even at Boscastle reserves as St Stephen reserves fought out a two all draw. Matt Jolliffe scored both Boscastle goals with Ben Jones and Stuart Kesson-Smith replying for St Stephen.

Lifton reserves bounced back with a 4-2 win at St Eval Spitfires. Tom Hancock, Dylan Boundy, Chris Alford and Alex Sandercock scored for Lifton with Shane Wade and Jon Summerfield replying for the hosts.

St Columb Major maintain their lead in Division Three with Dom Roberts scoring twice in their 4-2 defeat of Roche Reserves. Conor Doocey and Scott Taylor completed their tally.

Delabole United drop a little further away from a title challenge after being held two all at home by Biscovey. Davey Tilley and Dave Ord for Delabole with Jack Williams and Matt Waller on target for Biscovey.

St Newlyn East 3 Gunnislake 0

Parsonage, Faulkner x2

The Saints exacted revenge to the only side to beat us this season.

The result was never in doubt as the Saints easily outclassed our opponents. Arguably the result should have been more emphatic but for some poor decision making in the final third.
A big Junior Cup Quarter final next week v Polperro where we will have to be on song.

St Columb Major 4-2 Roche Res FT

Not a very good start from us today, we didn't get going and Roche really did punish us in the first 15 minutes. A few words were shared and thankfully we upped our game and came out 4-2 winners. I must give credit to Roche because they battled well and definitely didn't play like a side what is sitting bottom of the division.

Scorers

Dom Roberts 2, Scott Taylor, Conor Doocey

Pensilva we’re lucky not to have Leighton sent off in my opinion awful challenge. And the ref was not very good. Made some awful decisions. Flat play to pensilva on a awful pitch

welcome Fletch, always nice to have fresh blood!
Has it taken you eight days to compose and post your message or was this the game Pensilva lost yesterday and you’ve posted on an earlier (1st Feb) thread?
