Cornwall Senior Cup Semi-finals 2016-17

Recommended Posts

Listened to Radio Rugby leading up to the draws and it was very low key. No real build up no reading out of the numbers and obviously it was all done on alphabetical order but echoing the comments made previously about it, rugby, rugby, Truro City, rugby and um rugby. BORING! I could see one game being played at St Austell and one at St Blazey but with CCFA based in Bodmin, it could be the Falmouth game played there if it's dry.

If it was done alphabetically, then the draw should have been Bodmin v Falmouth and Newquay v Saltash wouldn't it

I mean they were numbered alphabetically: 1=Bodmin, 2=Falmouth, 3=Newquay, 4=Saltash

Sorry to ask but do they wait for semi results before they announce the final venue.

More than likely although they might already have somewhere in mind.

Couldn't they have found a level pitch?

Sorry St Austell.  Just joking!! The playing surface was excellent when I was there earlier this season.

15 odd years ago, Wadebridge and St Austell had two of the worst pitches in the league. Wadebridge have worked wonders on flattening their pitch and the new stand(s) and facilities are some of the best in Cornwall. St Austell's were so bad the South Western League hierarchy tried to expel them from the league. Thankfully even though they were voted out, they were elected back on appeal. Now look at them! Shame they turned down the Americans offer of flattening the pitch during the war....

The Germans would have done it for free.
