hills19
Sounds like a good game at Bovey Tracey. As an Ashes fan, it's a shame that St. Austell have so many games in hand but I am sure they're not complaining.
ontheball2014
Bovey Tracy totally belied their position at the bottom of the league, against the league leaders. Saltash were lucky to leave the ground with all three points, against a very hard working Bovey side. From the all accounts, saltash had several players missing and had only three on the bench, two of which were youngsters. Why does the team at the top of the league struggle to field a strong side and have a weak bench?
pastyman
Ok, I went to the match and witnessed a spirited performance by Bovey Tracy, but in all truth, "the ashes" deserved the victory in the end. Yes Sam Hughes, Aaron Cusack, Ben Davies, Jimmy Alexander were missing for one reason or another. But nevertheless, I thought the team was strong enough to gain a victory. It was end to end stuff today and the result could have gone either way.

jft96
Torpoint fully deserved their 3 points yesterday, 2-0 up and bossing the game, Falmouth picked up last 10 mins but Torpoint played some lovely football throughout. Very young side with a couple experienced players.
Bamboo1
Did anyone watch the elburton vs newquay game?
Cornishfan74
Newquay completely dominated the 1st half going 3-0 up and it should've been a lot more, with a number of great crosses put in Drummound got a hatrick of headers with jack bray Evans also scoring. 2nd half newquay added a 4th and it looked to be heading towards a thrashing however, elburton came back into it and added 2 goals. Some very good wide play my newquay.
leedsunited
Yes Keith, looks like Bovey are doomed now. Sounds as if they pushed Saltash all the way yesterday. Would of been an interesting end to the season if there were two relegations & Bovey were a little closer to the clubs above them. With elburton, camelford, newquay & falmouth all down there it could of get very tight at the bottom

St.Austell or Exmouth Town move up to step 5 and the Western League. The only three Devon clubs in the WL are all safe and settled and not likely to move. With Elmore already dropped out the bottom clubs in the SWPL are just playing out fixtures. Are Exmouth considering a sideways move to Western League Div.1 (Step 6) if the dont get promoted?I do believe this Summer the F A will be looking at a restructure of clubs in the South West can anyone enlighten me on any developments? Steve @Bovey Tracey
Hi Keith, attendance at Bovey on Saturday was actually our lowest of the season, just 35. It was an even game , Saltash probably just edged it though, looking slightly more dangerous going forward.Ashes had a few missing but Bovey could only muster up 1 sub. I think only 1 team will go down but not really sure that is a good or bad thing for us as we would no doubt struggle in this league again next season, if we did go down and keep hold of this current crop then I believe we'd be top six in peninsula East. leedsunited
Is it a case Steve of taking a step back to take two forward?
Steve @Bovey Tracey
That is my personal view yes, I think we all love playing and watching the premier division football and will miss that competive edge if relegated. But my view is exactly as you say 'Leeds utd' , I certainly don't think that is the entire committees view though. Also to clear up my first post, I said I think only 1 team will get relegated but to elaborate, that team has already gone (Elmore) so I'm assuming with St Austell looking destined for promotion that there wouldn't be any relegation. That is just my take on it though!
