Single-minded approach from new managerial duo...

NEW MANAGER, Leigh Robinson, has spoken of his delight having been appointed into The White Tigers’ hot-seat.
“I am really pleased to have this opportunity, along with Micheal Meaker, to join Truro City and help the club move forwards,” he said. “As a management team we have had a very successful couple of years and are now hungry to prove ourselves at a higher level, which was the main attraction for the move.
“We are, of course, aware that there has been a lot of uncertainty and upheaval at the club in the last few months with the stadium move and the management team leaving early on in the season.
“However, we also have to be single-minded in our approach to moulding the team into what we want it to be and start winning football matches despite all the off field stuff and this is what we’ll be looking to do quickly.
“The Chairman has shown a great deal of faith in us as a management team and we are determined to repay that by working hard, making key decisions and getting the team on an upward curve ASAP.
“We are very much inheriting the squad that was built by Lee Hodges and Chris Todd over the summer and it will take a couple of weeks to fully assess things and work out the best way forwards. But, we are certainly looking forward to meeting and getting to know the players as well as seeing what they have to offer on the pitch in the coming weeks as we look to put our stamp on things.”
Robinson has built a good reputation in the south-west over the past six years having guided Taunton Town through one of the most successful periods in their history.

What an odd move that is. Taunton were really starting to look a superb club on and off the Field  crowds of 500-600 every home game and I would put them as favourites to get promoted.

Why would you give that up to run Truro with the mess it’s in at the minute .

Does seem a strange move.

Its the usual - pick a manager with a winning lower side, with a number of players that are good enough to step up and would like to, therefor you increase the player strength at the club for the challenge ahead. Shame for Taunton , who are about to lose some key players - if they want to return to Truro that is.
