ontheball2014
One has to ask, does rugby call their games off in such quantity? I am coming to the opinion that clubs are preventing having to do large amounts of remedial work, rather than the pitches are unplayable.
Paul
Rugby isn't played on the floor!!
Saint Francis
Well said Paul and Keith someone always comes up with this old chestnut about rugby but as you say you need a decent surface to play football. God bless you all

ennis81
Some great results in the west today, St.Dennis and Illogan losing, keeping the league wide open, any of half a dozen teams can come through yet, blooming fantastic. Very sad my Rooster saw red today.
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
Need to get over games being called off, it happens at this time of the year, especially those that played boxing day.....pitches battered. It wasn't just one cancelled - but many....must be something to do with the weather (!) They do get played in the end you know.

bushy12
Victory never really in doubt at Poltair with the visitors not really troubling the St.Austell back 5. Credit to Hayle who came and had a good go, and never gave up! Good luck in the remainder of your season. Special mention to the Hayle keeper who made a number of excellent saves and prevented the scoreline being a lot greater. St.Austell lineup: Chapman, Lean (1), Whetter, Williams, Whatts (1), Evans, Hart, Dingle, Mulready, Simms, Nancarrow (1), Subs: Brokenshire (1), Slateford (1), Body. Not used: Giles, Eddy
cornishman
Thats a fair report although Hayle were far better than this against Torpoint in the last round. Didnt really get our front players into the game anywhere near enough. Last time Hayle were at St Austell you had no clubhouse and a burnt out stand which was cordoned off for safety reasons so all was in a very sorry state. Congratulations to those involved in getting the club to where it is today as the club and ground were rocking with a good friendly atmosphere. With a very talented team for supporters to follow. For Hayle to keep things pretty respectable overall ....only 1-0 at half time was positive. Pasties arent as good as Philp's though.
Cornish Brazillian
Can't see any mention of Newquay's win at Bovey Tracy where, I understand, Alex Cole scored all five for the Peppermints in a 5-1 win. Is this correct?

leedsunited
Newquay gain revenge for their home defeat to Bovey Tracey earlier in the season. Bovey are surely relegated. Credit to them for keeping going & not pulling out.
SaintsAFC
Ennis81... I now know who you are due to you calling me rooster. Sending off was pretty unfair. He got a yellow (which was his second so he got sent off) and I got a straight red. When speaking to the red after I stated "the only reason you sent me off is because you had to give him a second yellow. If he wasn't already on a yellow we both would have been booked" he didn't have much to say back to me so that says it all.
ennis81
Lloydy it wont make you feel any better, but Ralphy also got straight red against Gunnislake yesterday. Keep your pecker up me ol' beauty.
