Dave Deacon
Not a pretty game to watch, but I'm sure St Dennis won't care too much as they defeated the Premier Division opposition with goals from Scott Hill (10) and Carl Rickard (74). Sam Cooper had levelled the game earlier in the 18th minute. Overall though, the Newquay supporters amongst the 195 attendance didn't have too much to cheer over the 90 minutes! Dave Deacon
Report received from Probus........ Probus 1 (Max Moralee) St Blazey 3 (Lewis Coombes 2, Seb Bromfield) Blazey took the lead when Coombes bear Stuart May in the home goal from 12 yards. His angled drive going I off the post. The rest of the first half was a midfield battle with us coming more into the game as the half went on. 0-1 halftime. We equalised after 10 minutes of the second half when a Chris Davey free kick was flicked on by Sam Bullen for Max Moralee to lob Painter in the Blazey goal. They came back at us and Coombes put them 2-1 up 10 minutes later when he stretched to poke a far post cross home as the ball dribbled over the line. They they made it 3-1 soon after with Bromfield volleyed home from 20 yards giving May no chance. We battled right to the end and Blazey knew they were in a game. We are proud of our team and we included 7 teenagers (including 4 16 year olds) in our squad and we went toe to toe with them. Probus man of the match - 16 year old left back George Roberts, but every player put in a great effort.

cornishman
Well played Hayle. never allowed Torpoint to settle and the pressure they puy on the ball for 90+ minutes was outstanding.A real cup tie and to beat a side two leagues above is possibly Hayle's best ever result. Ref made some unusual decisions which both sides would rightly question but they didnt effect result. Three penatlies all saved with two scored from rebounds. Excellent entertainment, well done to both sides and there will be some beer drunk in Hayle tonight ...

Guest
Interesting performance by the referee at the Saltash v Illogan tie. The referee was very lenient to numerous Illogan challenges but then with the linesman waving furiously for a foul by Saltash's Joe Carey the referee then sent the Saltash player off for what looked an innocuos challenge. Angry words were exchanged with match officials at half time who seemed out of their depth. What happened in the second half as I see Saltash won 2-1. MJP
A very good 5-2 away win for Wendron against a Sticker side that are riding high in their league. Sticker closed us down very quickly In the first half and probably shaded the first half on possession. In the second half we moved the ball quicker and got our reward, goals from Justin Miles, Justin Searle 2, Chris Mulroy, and 16 year old Matt Buchann's first goal for the club. Thank you for the hospitality from all at Sticker, and good luck to you for the rest of your league campaign. Great set up there.

I thought we had got back into the game with a super equaliser then you go and get in front again with an equally super strike and we fell apart, no excuses you guys thoroughly deserved the win and good luck whoever you meet in the next round! The Gooner
Dobwalls 4 Porthleven 2 AET The game was a scrappy affair although both sides showed a lot of commitment. The visitors took the lead and held it until the 55th minute. Dobwalls scored twice and must have thought they had won the tie. In the 5th minute of added time Porthleven took the game to extra time when the ball was scrambled home from a corner kick. The hosts finished the stronger and young substitute Tom Bennett (I think) played a major part in the final outcome. First his electric pace enabled him to race past the visitors defence before placing a pinpoint pass into the path of Harry Hook for an easy tap in. Hook returned the compliment just before the end for the youngster to tap in at the far post.
