SuperCooper
AFC St Austell are proud to announce the signing of Jared Sims from Truro City. Jared still only 20 years old offers Phil Lafferty another exciting option going forward. Jared played in the football league for Plymouth Argyle having developed through the youth system. Phil is looking forward to working with Jared and the club wishes Jared all the best for this coming season. Cornishfan74
Seen the lad sims play a few games last season with truro, looks a technically good player and intelligent in the final third, could see him him playing just behind the striker at St Austell, decent signing. 100%cornish
So Newquay are playing st austell 2nd game of the season 12th august with a 7 30 kick off think Newquay better get to the hardwear shop to get some wood and boards to board up there goal think this game could be a hammering with the team St Austell have got .So Derek Martin is now director of football at the G what the hell does that mean does he inspect that the right amount of sugar is being used in the teas and coffee i aint got a clue what his roll will be so he wont be going to Newquay then better take my bet off at the bookies then . Maybe a Newquay committee member could walk up and down the street with a sandwich board if anyone is interested in the job if they are the club will throw in a bucket and spade as well give the job to Sandra she would make a great manager
MOUNTAINEER
Nemesis has often told us Newquay is a well run club so why the difficulty getting a manager, perhaps it's greed requesting a budget the club cannot afford, all credit to them if they refuse to jeopardize the clubs stability. leedsunited
A great shame to see a club the size of newquay in this slump. Its a pattern thats emerging far to often for some good old traditional clubs in the league, look at newquay, falmouth, tavistock, st.blazey, liskeard all teams that have had great success but now languishing in the bottom half of the table. Newquay seem to of not moved forward with their management decision as i believe the two caretaker managers in place now were looking after team affairs last season along with the captain? In a supporters view that might not be seen as progression?

leedsunited
Should be head & shoulders above anything in this league after playing for the first team at Argyle less than 14 months ago. Time will tell. Ex Argyle pro begs the question why truro didnt want him?

leedsunited
Blimey dave you will be hung for saying that!! Seems a huge fall from grace for the boy. Quality player, will really stand out in this league
The Big Bad Fox
The guy needs to prove himself, did nothing at truro and didn't stand out when playing for their reserves. Will he even start for St.Austell? They have a lot of options going forward this season.
