Bananaman
Match between mousehole and hayle was called off by an official league ref because of the high and very dangerous winds at the ground.Mousehole's ground is much higher than penzance's ground,e.g its like mount everest, with penzance at base camp and mousehole at the summit. Also wayne quinn couldn't fly his helicopter to the ground.

Guest sazzle
oh hugo is the wind up merchant today or just annoyed cos he has to play in this weather as his game is still on!!!!! we at mousehole take pride in our pitch which was very very soft and almost playable, unfortunately the conditions for playing a game of footy were unacceptable today. the new management is in place and raring to go

cornishteddyboy
Pz 4-2 Holsworthy 0-0 at half-time. Holsworthy keeper kept them in it. Start of the 2nd half, Holsworthy get 2 goals in first 3 mins. Holsworthy have a player sent off for two yellow cards within 4mins of each other. Penzance fight back with 4 in next 30 mins. Mark Jones
Cullompton v falmouth GAME CALLED OFF My old man said their chairman phned in morning to say game def on. Then at 1.30 cullomptom phoned to say game off at 1.30. Falmouth got as far as okehampton and had to turn back! Disgusting i think cullompton did the same to Penzance? Falmouth should be reumbursted. When teams have to travel this far. A decision should be made at 10.30 and kept to unless it exceptional circumstances. I hope the league intervenes here as this is very off! DanBlazey
St Blazey crowd an unbelievably low 80 or so! Christmas shopping? Anyway, they missed an epic as St Blazey came back from 2-0 down to win for the second game running. An unwanted statistic though - we missed our third penalty in 3 games! WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE Cullompton v falmouth GAME CALLED OFF My old man said their chairman phned in morning to say game def on. Flippin eck!! If you got caught under the same band of torrential rain as everyone else in the south west, you'll know it was pretty ferocious and heading over into England after midday. Therefore this kind of situation is always inevitable. At 10.30 the game would have been on. At 1.30 - certainly not. So what are Rangers supposed to do?! You cannot call off a game at 10.30 if your pitch is fine even if you know rain is coming. I think you should have been very thankful you got the phonecall and didn't have to venture any further into England unnecessarily.
Quiet Man
I was in the clubhouse at Falmouth today, and Cullompton phoned at mid-day to say that thegame was on, even though their manager who lives in Exeter had told them that is was torrential rain there. They were also told by people at Falmouth that the rain heading their way was bad. OK, the rain may only just have reached tehm at midday, but I had driven as far as Bodmin when at 12.40 I goe a call from the Falmouth chairman telling me to turn back as the match was now off. We all know that if a pitch is playable then the game should go on if possible, but I feel that a bit of common sense should have been used by the Cullompton officials (and inspecting referee) and taken in to account the weather heading that way and got the game called off before Falmouth set off. Mark Jones
Danblazey would you say the same thing if this had happerned to St. blazey today? A decision should always be made early based on the facts and common sense to avoid these situations. Other clubs manage to do it!
DanBlazey
I love driving the A30 so wouldn't bother me one little bit. I re-emphasise my point tho - weather is unpredictable and there was no 100% guarantee that a single drop of rain would fall on Cullompton. It is simply a no win situation that will happen from time to time. No point at all coming on here demanding compensation (in any case, a 150 mile round trip on the A30 should be peanuts to you judging by your rumoured player wage bill). Why not see it as a day out? Go out to Pizza Hut or whatever for some team bonding. Seriously, all you have to blame is the weather. Sorry, this one has really got me riled, because, as I see it, Cullompton have absolutely done things by the book here. Spare a thought for Gloucester City fans who faced an even longer trip up the M5 after having their match in the capital called off after, bizarrely a 3pm inspection! Andy Yeatman
Have to agree with Dan here. Match at Withy called off at 2-35pm after we'd all got there from Cornwall. But when I arrived at about 1-50 the pitch was just about playable and the rain was light. The rain we had earlier arrived at 2-20 and the playing surface changed in minutes. Very difficult situation but it's alot easier to make decisions like this if the rain falls overnight or earlier in the day. I wasn't happy with the journey and was convinced before I left the matych would be off because we knew what was movnig east. But when I got to Withyeridge I could see why they thought it was worth a try.

Paul
St Blazey 4v2 Ivybridge. Great result once again against a decent Ivybridge side. It wasnt looking good after a wonder strike made it 0v2 early in the second half. St Blazey seem to be able to pick up the pace when they need to and came back very strongly and played some great football. Sadly only around 80/90 maybe a few more sat in cars, watched on. The weather in the area leading up to kick off had been really bad so im not surprised there many regulars missing. So you prepare the pitch and you manage to get the game on but with the bad weather you loose 40 or 50 off the gate. Could be around £200 in gate receipts plus program, 50-50, food and bar takings lost!!! So...was it all worth it????? Anyway......top of the league and a big game on wednesday against Saltash.
CrApPy
Vospers 1 v 5 St Austell Vospers were 1-0 up at half time against the run of play and then the second half was all town!!!! Get in!!!! :clapper:
John The Baptist
St Austell are definatly the best side that Vospers have faced this season. With a few key players missing, Vospers looked very one dimensional and were off the pace from start to finish. Taking nothing away from St Austell who played some good stuff and scored some good quality "team" goals on a pitch that was borderline playable. The visitors coped with the conditions extremely well and still played the ball around with relative ease, while Vospers just huffed and puffed and didn't really look like they were up for the task!! Very comfortable in the end!!!
Guest Postie Pidge
Spare a thought for Gloucester City fans who faced an even longer trip up the M5 after having their match in the capital called off after, bizarrely a 3pm inspection! The referee admitted the pitch was unplayable at 1pm when he arrived but he said to try an inspection at 3pm so the game could kick off at 4pm but even that was a no go.
