Annoying for Parkway this. Would have been a massive crowd probably biggest for years  . All this money spent on drainage seems to be a waste of time

Parkway off,  Bolitho waterlogged. Loss of Boxing Day and New Year's Day matches and revenues not good news.

You have to worry where Truro and parkway are fitting all these games in on that pitch.

It is going to be a very congested March and April.  With 23 Parkway/Truro home games still to play in the last 20 weeks of the season, struggle to see how Bolitho would cope with more than one match a week. Especially as we go into what is usually the wettest spell of the winter.

Weston-Super-Mare 2    Truro City  2   h/t 0-1

Not having watched Truro City play for many years, today just so happened that i was in Weston staying with family on the same day that they were playing Truro City.Be rude not to go wouldn't it?

The Seagulls made a flying start and good play on their left side in the 3rd minute ended with a cross flashing across the penalty box with no one able to get a touch. Two minutes later the Truro goalkeeper pushed away a strong shot and saved again when the resulting header to a cross was met.Twenty minutes later Weston built up play on the left (which was a source of exploitation all afternoon) and the ball was squared into the middle and the keeper made another good save.A couple of minutes Truro relieved the pressure with a long cross which just cleared the crossbar.Truro then had a period of sustained pressure forcing a few corners.A couple of good saves from their keeper though maintained Truro's parity in the match.A quick Truro attack just before half time resulted in Truro being awarded a penalty against the run of first half play (i was at the wrong end of the pitch to see the reason) but it was hotly disputed. Will Dean sent the Weston keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot. The Weston Manager was shown a yellow card by the referee for making his views on the penalty known as they left the pitch at half time.

In the 47th minute the Seagulls were level when the ball was played across to the edge of the penalty area and for Jason Pope to meet with ferocious shot into the corner of the net.In the 55th minute,a Truro striker was bundled over as he tried to break away, other defenders were close by,and a superb free-kick by Tyler Harvey crashed into the corner of the net from 25 yards to put the visitors ahead again. The game became scrappy as it wore on with misplaced passes not helping and a few substitutions were made by both managers to raise the tempo. The Truro defenders were much tighter in the second half and the Weston attack didn't have as many chances to score as in the first half.Just when it seemed that Truro would leave with all three points,a last gasp attack in added time from the left side again saw a good shot by Josh Thomas finish in the far corner of the net.Cue wild celebrations from the home team and supporters.

An enjoyable match to watch for the 898 supporters which Weston certainly deserved to get something from. The Truro City support made themselves known being vocally behind their team.

Not liking the rain forecast for Saturday morning-who is on Bolitho Park that day ?

Truro v Salisbury - Sat 8th Jan

Parkway v Sholing - Tues 11th Jan

Looking at the forecast for the Plymouth area a few minutes ago, rain is predicted for most of the day on Saturday (heavy in the morning) and for Sunday. If the Truro match gets played on Saturday, does that render it unplayable for Tuesday? Presumably a decision would have to be made by midday for the Sholing match as they would be travelling from the Southampton area.

The problem was always going to happen. Truro have spent a lot of money so will feel they should be able to play Saturday. If they play Saturday that ground will be out for weeks. So parkway will hope it called off to get their game on Tuesday after missing a massive gate  already .
can see this situation becoming more of a problem and argument  for both clubs
