Gutted to hear this sad news. Played one of my last SWL seasons for Evo at Penryn and it was one of the best laughs I had. Great bunch of lads and Evo was one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Lovely to play for, never too down after a defeat and never too excited after a good win, just a real nice solid bloke and really funny with it!! Always remember beating a good Bodmin side 5-2 at Kernick Road and I scored a hat-trick past my old mate Philpy! Evo wouldn’t let me go home after and I ended up getting a speeding ticket going past Truro afc rushing back to watch Germany v England (remember that 5-1 win in Munich! ) Told Evo bout it a couple weeks later when the fine came through and he said it was his fault and he’ll go halves with me!! That’s the best way for me to describe him, just a lovely guy with a heart of gold and knew local football inside out. RIP Evo 😢❤️🖤
