midlandlilywhite
Bodmin v Saltash should be interesting. Very interesting as Bodmin won 4-0, excellent result for us Keith.
TimmyRaa
Good game at Priory Park today. I feel that the score line flattered bodmin a little, but they did deserve the win. The difference was Adam carter and the central defenders. Carter didn't have a great game I thought, but still scored a hat trick. Bodmins defenders didn't make any mistakes, and saltash's did!!!!! On a lighter note, it was pleasing to observe Darren Gilberts behaviour today. Very calm and not his usual shouty self. Well done

pastyman
Further to the comment by TimmyRaa, Darren Gilbert was faultless today. Sadly, "the ashes" were undone by some totally erratic goalkeeping by Blackler. Blackler has had a "mare" this season. That will missing many games, I am surprised he is still between the "sticks". Central defence has been the achilles heel this season.

mikesrep
Blackberry having a nightmare season? Typical Saltash 'supporter always moaning win or lose. Saltash had good chances early doors and didn't take them. Bodmin were on the back foot. Blacklermakes makes an attempt to block a run on goal and is adjudged to have fouled - penalty 1 nil. Uphill from then on and Bodmin grew stronger and stronger. 4 nil was a fair result come the end. Was Tom a fault for any of the goals - I think not. The 2nd was a screamer from outside the box that no one would've saved! The 2 second half goals, couldn't blame him for them either. With a small squad and no available 2nd striker and little on the bench it was an Uphill struggle for the Ashes yesterday, the team needs the supporters behind it, simply attacking a goalkeeper for yesterday's result is just wrong. Bodmin were stronger all over the pitch and deserved the 3 points.

pastyman
MIKESREP, we are all entitled to an opinion or should I have asked you first? Without doubt, "the ashes" have done well this season. That is why they are in 2nd spot, but the manager has resigned. He became totally despondent with the position. Non-availability of players for various reasons, we as supporters never know what the management suffer to put a team out. I think you will find our goalkeeping position has been a nightmare this season. Back to yesterdays game, Blackler was guilty in being very clumsy on several occasions yesterday. The penalty was as a result of going in two footed. I thought in view of what has happened this week, the performance shown by the boys was first class.
