Dave Deacon
Michael Newcombe has advised the Duchy management committee that he wishes to stand down as secretary of the league at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting on 25th June. He will however, seek re-election as the league registration secretary and work alongside any new appointee. The League seeks volunteers to apply for the position of General Secretary of the League. The successful applicant will need to be compliant with FA Full Time and Whole Game Systems, although training can be arranged. Applicants will run the day to day business of the league, arrange, record and act upon business from management and annual general meetings. Will need to liaise with County FA , fellow leagues and clubs regarding the proposed restructure of Cornish football at the end of next season. Liaise with the Referee Appointments officer regarding postponements and referee shortages and oversee the work of the league fixture and registration officers alongside other general duties. Anyone interested in discussing the role please contact Michael Newcombe atmike_newcombe@outlook.com or ring 01726 64092
MattP
Sad news! Mike has done a great job for the Duchy League for many years and will be a tough (hopefully not impossible) act to follow! Thanks Mike

Columbia
Thanks for the very many years of dedication Mike. You will certainly be missed. Even when I vehemently disagreed with decisions taken I had respect for the people prepared to make the decisions. Others have appeared to have taken a different path recently. I am glad you will remain part of the Duchy.
Referee
Not only an often thankless task, but a very long term of office held by Mike. Always there to support the new and young referees as they begin at Duchy League and always helpful to new Club Secretaries as they often struggle with the demands of the FA and the Leagues. Don't try and replace him because you can't. However, his role can be reappointed and I wish that person the best of luck.
