F W
Camelford had a lively and eventful 2-2 draw against Callington tonight. The game featured end-to-end play, with Camelford possibly edging possession. Sam Watts on the right-hand side looked dangerous every time he had the ball, frequently creating chances, but Camelford failed to test the keeper. Callington took the lead with a whipped-in freekick from the right, deflected twice by Callington players, ending up in the Camelford net. Callington then doubled their lead when a loose ball and a slip in the middle of the park from Camelford gave a Callington striker a one-on-one opportunity, which was neatly put away. The second half followed in the same vein, with Camelford attacks but never creating any clear cut chances. It felt like it wasn't going to be Camelford's night. Even more so when Callington was awarded a penalty after a scramble in the box, and Sam Wade handled the ball while on the floor. The penalty wasn't great, giving Colwill the opportunity to save with his legs. With 10 minutes to go and Camelford having four sets of fresh legs on the pitch, they finally got a breakthrough. It fell to Leo Best, who got past his defender inside the box and, from a tight angle, walloped the ball into the back of the net. Camelford, with their tails up, pushed for the equalizer and was rewarded with a corner with one minute to go. The ball in was a good one, dropping to a Camelford player whose strike was cleared off the line. Fortunately for Camelford, it was cleared to Wade, who powered a header from six yards into the back of the net. It was a very entertaining game, full of action, and played in good spirits by both teams. A point was probably fair, but you have to feel for Callington, who did well to keep the Camelford attack out for much of the game. Scott Foley - The Jam Tart
Can anyone advise on parking at Tregye. I’ll head down with Bude today and have had a Quick Look on Google maps and it isn’t very clear on where I can park. is it easy enough?

Scott Foley - The Jam Tart
Truro City Reserves and Bude Town played out an entertaining match in monsoon conditions this afternoon. The pitch held up well however was showing signs of cutting up in the last 10/15 minutes. Well done to the ground staff 👏🏻 The game itself was a good watch. Played in good spirits by both teams and whilst the ref gave out a couple of yellows rather quickly, he did ok. Truro took the lead with a shot from distance after a few minutes. It was a terrific effort to be fair as the lad spotted the keeper off his line and fired it home. Unfortunately that’s as good as it got for Truro as Bude pretty much dominated from there on in. Bude drew level from a corner as Brago Marino lost his marker and bulleted a free header past the keeper. Bude had to wait until a few minutes before halftime for Carlo Chandler to finish expertly and take the visitors in at the break in the lead. Bude started the second half as they finished the first and scored a penalty after Ryan Keates was tripped after a run into the box. He brushed himself down and finish well from the spot. The young Truro team were struggling to make any headway in the game and Bude took advantage as Harry Ford scored a double in the space of 10 minutes to make it 5-1. As the match was closing out Tornado Bello who hasn’t figured much this season due to injury managed to get himself on the scoresheet and then celebrated with a pulled hamstring. Just his luck. Only to break into a dance move. He had me fooled for sure. Great to see Bude winning for the second week in a row and the played with great confidence. Harrison collected another new ground today (as did I) but because of the conditions, he wasn’t overly impressed. James_Wright
PENZANCE 3 WENDRON UNITED 1 Despite being out of action for a day shy of a calendar month, Penzance displayed no rustiness and resumed where they left off at Bude at the start of February with a decisive victory over a team ranked higher in the league table. Without regular starters Mark Vercesi, Charlie Willis and Darryl Richards, the hosts were on the back foot in the opening exchanges and indebted to goalkeeper Will Trenoweth for good saves from Ryan Reeve (twice) and Russell May. Penzance first threatened on the half hour when Rolandos Samnauskas fired over, then broke the deadlock three minutes before the interval. A corner from the right was cleared back to its taker Silas Sullivan. He whipped a left-foot delivery to the near angle of the six yard box where centre-back Liam Andrew, still forward for the flag kick, controlled the ball well and spun to clip a low shot just inside Zach Telling’s far post. Had Jacob Trudgeon connected cleanly with an Archie Reynolds cross, the Magpies might have doubled the damage immediately after the restart. The second goal was not long coming though, and a beauty in was too. Sullivan was again involved, spraying a pass wide to Samnauskas on the right. The Lithuanian’s low centre was defly flicked home by Ollie Butler giving the teenager his third Penzance goal, and a first in front of the Penlee Park faithful. On each of the their previous two encounters with Wendron, the Magpies had surrendered 2-0 leads, so they needed the insurance of a third. This duly arrived when Kam Collins, back in the team after missing the Bude trip, nodded a Sullivan corner down to Samnauskas who made no mistake. Wendron strived earnestly to get back into the match. Trenoweth pulled off stunning saves to deny substitute Tiernan Bertrand and Sam Young. So, when he was finally beaten in the fourth minute off stoppage time by a Josh Wood volley, the points were already safely in the bag. “It was always going to be a tough fixture,” stated Penzance manager Ashley Waters. “What the team achieved today was a massive step, setting high standards for the remainder of the season. The second goal especially was absolutely brilliant and worthy of winning any game. Credit to the players who were fantastic today. We move on to another big game against Camelford next Saturday where we'll be looking for another big performance.” Penzance: Will Trenoweth, Archie Reynolds, Alfie Turner, Ollie Butler (Ashley Mead 86), Liam Andrew, Silas Sullivan, Jacob Trudgeon (Freddie Neaum 70), Kam Collins, Tyler Tonkin (Charlie Palmer 61), James Butler, Rolandos Samnauskas. Unused sub: Matt James Wendron : Zach Telling, Isaac Dryburgh (Lennon Watts 83), Callum Bertrand (Tiernan Bertrand 72), Max Roberts, Russell May, Sam Young, Ryan Reeve, Lucas Potts, Ryan Kelly, Jack Stocker, Josh Wood. Unused subs: Scott Palmer, Ethan Fearn Referee: Paul Kempen Assistants: Max Davies, Paul Barker Attendance: 107 mattelot, Charlie Farley, Scott Foley - The Jam Tart and 2 others
