Went to watch Wendron reserves v Mullion reserves Saturday. Too hot for football and lovely to be able to sit and watch football (with a cold drink) rather than being stressed every Gameday chasing players 🤣😎. Mullion stepping up a league this season and didn’t let themselves down against a young fit Wendron side, with the Mullion left winger looking pacy and dangerous (they must breed them down at Mullion). Wendron took a while to get into their stride and should have been two up before half time but for a great save by the Mullion 16 year old keeper and a free header put wide.

Wendron starting well in the second half and missed a few half chances and once again the young keeper made a full length save to deny Tyler Oliver. Mullion had one really good chance to take the lead when the left winger, moved into a central position, broke the line and lifted the ball over the on rushing keeper but watched the ball drop the wrong side of the post. It looked as thought a 0-0 draw was going to be the outcome, but in the 90th minute a long ball found Max Bowden on the left hand corner of the box, with two defenders on him he shifted the ball onto his right foot and bent a fabulous curling shot into the top right corner to take all 3 points (I won’t see many better goals all season). Deserved three points for Wendron who will be glad to get 3 points and blow the cobwebs off. Hats off the Mullion who never gave up and will give a good account of themselves this season. Now to get back to my golf and choosing who to watch next week 🍻😎👀

St day 4

(Chris Dobson 2, Gareth Ireson, Luke Abbot Smith)

Perranporth 1 (not sure)

St day 3-0 at half time , Perranporth scored a free kick from 30 yards, great strike after half time but not enough too get back in the game.

Surprising result from Illogan vs Falmouth but too early too see if it was an upset or not.
