  1. Left at half time, entertaining game at Constantine where St.Just were 2-0 up with their keeper making two fine saves. Hope the second half as good to watch as first. Great to catch up with some St.Just stalwarts to reminisce about old game between St.Just and Perranwell 💪⚽️🍻
  2. Perranporth are looking for a couple of evening league friendlies at our place end of May. Ref and food provided message me on 07739788650 thanks Brian ⚽️👍🍻

Sent you a PM Woody 👍⚽️🍻
  6. So did all clubs know about points per game system before deciding to continue playing or to suspend? if so, you can see why any team in the top 2 would suspend playing as pretty much guarantee finishing there after all the other teams played out their remaining games. What a strange year it has been ⚽️
  7. Perranporth men’s football team starts training every Tuesday starting 13th April 7pm. All new players welcome at open training. A long pre-season for us with plenty of friendlies organised for May. First team in Combination league and new second team in Trelawny league (if voted in at AGM). Looking forward to seeing lots of new players (and old 🤣) See you all soon ⚽️⚽️⚽️

  10. Good luck Steve and Matt. Good appointments 👍
  11. Correct but you can walk your dog around the pitch for 90 minutes, take the children to the park to play on the swings or have the vaccine at the show ground in Stithians.....and there just might be a game going on around you. Not that I am condoning it mind you 🤔🙈👀

  13. Most teams in Combo have around 20 games to fit in to complete the season. Even if extended to end of June that is 2 games every week (without any cancellations for rain). As seen in Premier league can players sustain 2 games every week for 10 weeks solid with injuries, work, family commitments?? surely it is in everyone’s best interest to null and void the league....maybe set up a competitive cup (league format) and play every weekend. Then start pre season July for a fresh start in August.
  14. The problem is Countyman that legally a precedent was set last season by FA and CCFA to void the season. if a new set of rules are put in place this season then clubs like Helston and Penryn would have the right to challenge the decision previously made when they were top of their respective leagues. Unfortunately the only option is to keep continuity and void league and all have a fresh safe start next season. The biggest thing is that whatever decision is made....the safety of all players, officials and supporters needs to paramount.
  15. I would have thought a precedent has been set by last season? Difference is the league was voided end of March last year....fingers crossed everyone is back playing February/March this year and can finish their leagues?? 🤷‍♂️
  16. Our thoughts are with Barry and his family at this worrying time. Donation given, but more importantly our prayers ❤️⚽️
  17. Loved playing against St.Just over the years.....competitive games, fully committed and then great fun in clubhouse after.....plus the odd pint on way home as well. Great times 👍⚽️🍻
  18. Hi Kernowfooty, your summary is fairly accurate. Perranwell scorer was number 19 Tom Fisher. when Perranwell made their 3 substitutions it did make a difference for that 15 minutes ⚽️👍
  19. My predictions are all games postponed to weather 😳😔⚽️🍻
  20. Ralph, I used to love these conditions...good hard game of football and then hot shower and few beers....perfect afternoon.
  21. Potential light at end of tunnel.... Speaking to a Director of a Chinese company today about sport, he said that from the first few deaths in China to things getting back to normal again was 7 weeks....so hopefully with a lockdown now, we might be up and running again before end of May. Playing Saturday and Tuesdays and an extension of season till end of June/July (extend insurance period) the season can be finished. If start 20/21 season in September and everything back to normal (hopefully not the rain though)
  22. I still believe that if you are elderly or have an underlying health issue then self isolate and dont go out. Fit healthy men playing football in a local park with 15 or 20 people watching in the open air is not going to radically increase the spread of covid 19. However today I went to Asda in Penryn at 10.30am to pick up a couple of things for weekend and it was rammed and mainly rammed with elderly people...there were 8 deep at each checkout, so about 50 people I close proximity potentially spreading the virus....and we say football outdoors for 28 players and 20 supporters should stopped!
  23. I understand all the above concerns...but are you all going to work? Sitting close to people? I was in a restaurant in Bath last night with about 50 people, how many people will not play football but still go to the pub etc. It is a concern and people will say football is an added extra risk factor, but if you do stop it now....you wont start again till next season due to the virus projected to hit peak in June and you certainly will not be allowed to play football then. Therefore the next topic of debate is....what happens to this season? Void it as some of the teams have not played som
