it could be a difficult season for Bolitho Park if there is a winter of inclement weather

With two full leagues  (SLP & SL1) to fufil -even Truro was called off in midweek for another home fixture to be rearranged.

I thought the money spent on the new surface and drainage would have been up to it ? I mean this is the first bit of real rain we had.

Must be a bit of head scratching at Parkway. Lot of money spent on a new pitch and drainage, and the first wet Saturday causes a cancellation (heard that Highworth Town had arrived as well). Doesn't bode well for be being used every Saturday and midweek once we get into the winter months proper

Truro lost 2 -0. Oh dear, another defeat. The season is not going too well at the moment.

Tuesdays postponement wasn't to do with the state of the pitch. Dorchester said they couldn't travel due to the fuel crisis!

No new pitch could possibly establish itself in time for a season with one team on it let alone two.

If it is a new sown pitch it would need a full year to establish a root system to withstand a winter and create drainage channels. Better invest in a lot of quality sports sand and get ready for regular topdressing. 

Going to be a lot of problems there methinks.

I assume he on about  Truro. 
parkway pitch looks immaculate when I was last there. But as above. It’s not going last 5 mins if it’s called off at first sign of rain with 2 teams playing on it. But I guess that risk when you take the money from Truro that paid for the upgrade and new pitch.
