Excellent 3-2 win for TOWN against a very good side from the Southern League. Draw might have been a fairer result but no complaints!!

Understand both sides had a few out. Let's hope Town can replicate this form when the real stuff starts.

PS. F-Troop were great today. They had plenty to sing about and they didn't disappoint. It's an entertaining couple of hours when you attend Bickland these days.

An enjoyable but sometimes frustrating day at the cornish Wembley. Both sides had players missing including towns front men of Jack Bowyer and Alex Wharton.

Willand were on top in the opening stages with their slick passing and closing down of any town player to win the ball back .Although any  goal threat was being dealt with by the Town defence of Kirk Davies , James Ward ,Toby Clarke ,and Ollie moody .

Town took the lead against the run of play on 34 mins with Luke Brabyn finally beating the offside trap racing to the edge of the box and driving the ball past the keeper at his near post .

F troop celebrations were short lived however as 4 mins later willand equalised from the impressive Jack Rice ,shooting through a crowd of players and past the unsighted Ryan Barnes . H/T 1-1 .

The 2nd half was only 2 mins old when Willand took the lead again through Jack Rice .

Town then made some tactical changes with Ryan Chinn and Jack Webber coming on in midfield and Tom Annear coming on as a left wing back . Town were getting more possession and making more runs down the wings culminating in an excellent Tom Annear cross on 64mins eluding  the keeper for Dave Broglino to head just inside the far post at the packet end sending the F troop into a frenzy .

The atmosphere was now like last seasons FA vase game against Longlevens all over again .Willand kept attacking looking for a winner but towns defence held firm .On 87 mins a run and shot by ( I think ) new signing Harry Clarke was dropped by the Willand keeper only to fall to another New Signing Andreas  Calleja - Stayne to tap into an empty net and win the game and sparking F Troop into Full voice .

For all their possession and talent Willand will feel hard done by .But as we see in the Premier league ,it's not necessarily the team with the most possession that wins the game ,you have to put the ball in the net .
