Midfield Marvel Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 Premier St Keverne 0 - 5 St Agnes A comfortable win in the end for the Aggie boys. Goals from Spencer Hassel (2), Paul Dabell with a sweet chip (but it was his 3rd 1on 1!), Richie Horsewell (Feed the Horse and he will score!!) and an OG after good work from James Springall. Top of the league tonight I believe, I guess we had better make the most of it!
ballsax Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 Trelawney Div 1 Newlyn NA 2-4 West Cornwall Crackin performance from WC.....for 20 minutes. Went 2 up and could of added to it, then switched off and let Newlyn dictate the game. They levelled towards the end of the half, and the whistle couldn't of come soon enough. A talking too at HT was thoroughly deserved, and we came out 2nd half like we started the 1st, restricting Newlyn to half chances while not really creating a lot of our own, but keeping and using the ball much better. 3 points to start us off in a new league, not much more than that. Thanks to Newlyn for the hospitality, decent bunch of lads down there. Well reffed aswell in my opinion, don't know his name but one of the better refs. Good luck to Newlyn for the rest of the season and see you later in the season.

1ofthekids Posted August 20, 2012 Report Posted August 20, 2012 Division 1 Sennen 2-1 Stithians (HT 2-0) It was a good start for Sennen's new manager with a hard fought 2-1 win, against a Stithians side who played some attractive football. With the return of old boys Steve Jones and Paul Jackson, Sennen were a strong side going forward and took the lead from Steve Jones after half an hour. With 3 or 4 saves made by Mike Vigus in the Sennen goal, and the Stithians keeper also pulling off several saves, the scoreline could have easily been 4-4 going in to half time. However just before the break, Paul Jackson made it 2-0 to give Sennen an extra cushion. In the second half Stithians were the far better side, but Sennen were well organised at the back and defended well. With 15 minutes to go Stithians finally broke the Sennen defence and got a goal back, and the remaining minutes of the game resulted in constant pressure towards the Sennen goal. Dave Rowe and man of the match Ben George however kept the Stithians side at bay and resulted in Sennen getting the 3 points.
