Dave Deacon
Good to see Martin Gritton turn out for Truro City today. I've followed his career from first watching a Perranwell game years ago and asking who the lively, leggy youngster of a forward was playing for them, who I think I'm right in saying scored a few that night as they beat Helston. And what a partnership he had with "Boysie" Symons! Another formidable one with Charlie Legg at Porthleven followed with the memories of the two of them causing havoc running at defences. Always a pleasure to watch. Then even when he turned professional, I always looked out for his results. So it was great to see him turning out for Truro this afternoon and interview him after for Piran Films. Look out for when the interview gets on YouTube. I especially liked him recalling his days with Truro's 3rd team back in the Falmouth-Helston and remembering that Dom Pullen kept him out of Truro City's 3rd team back along! Piran
I have actually posted the interview on the sports page of Piran Films right after the highlights of the Thurrock match. Great interview by the way.
David Bray
Martin played for the County Youth back in the late 90's. Teamed up with Lee Phillips now at Bath City. Celtic fan if i remember rightly.
