  1. Surely, someone with a drone could make a video of the progress at Langarth!
  2. My point was not suggesting Referees are infallible or are never mistaken in their decisions; it was that players should adapt to the situations they find themselves facing - as they do every week with different opposition. Respect is something sadly diminishing in today's society - whether that be in sport, across neighbourhoods or, indeed, on social media platforms.
  3. 1. The SWPL do not appoint nor select Referees. 2. If a Referee consistently applies the "letter of the law", what's the problem? Players should be bright enough to recognise the way things are going and adjust their behaviour accordingly.
  4. I guess dispensation was given as they're due to move to their permanent, new ground next season.
  5. The proposed European Super League came about because there is no promotion from the Premier League, nor from the top divisions anywhere else. What would happen to the winners of such a league? Would they then create a World League? With any "Pyramid" system, you cannot rise higher than the top! The main thing is that there is a clear path-way to get there.
  6. Why not? Cheap 90 minutes of entertainment; great value!
  7. If the CCFA plan goes ahead, the facility should be available to all and not linked to just one club - as some seem to think it would be!
  8. I believe the issue is the origin of the recycled rubber used to make the crumb. Obviously, recycled tyres are not pure rubber and can also be contaminated during their primary use. USA first highlighted the possible health issues when they discovered recycled tyres from an arsenic mine were being used to make the crumb. I would hope the industry in UK is better regulated!
  9. All ground grading is now undertaken by Football Foundation and every Club in the NLS has been visited and audited for compliance this season. Newly promoted Clubs have until 31st March to get everything in place. The remaining Clubs have an extra 12 months to get their houses in order if deficiencies have been identified.
  10. The Ground Grading regulations do not cover every aspect of a Club's facilities and some parts would have to conform to wider UK safety regulations. The lease agreement should identify who is responsible for identifying and making good any deficiencies. I have no idea what the problem is but electrical installations are an example of regulations which seem to regularly change and have to be checked & certified as compliant (every 3 years I believe?). I'm sure Bodmin will be doing their best to get things up and running again as soon as possible.
  11. Unless the criteria has recently changed, my understanding is that there must be a two Step "gap" between 1st & Reserve teams, so that "gap" would be Steps 5 + 4, meaning 1st teams would need to be at Step 3 to allow Reserve teams to enter Step 6.
  12. My opinion has always been that forum members should be obliged to use their own name! I've no real knowledge of the ins and outs of GDPR, but my belief is that the "organisation" has a duty to protect the personal information it holds about others. However, if a condition of membership requires posting under a "real name", it's the member who is sharing their own information if they choose to make a comment- not the forum! Some of us have nothing to hide! To quote an old saying, " Put your money where your mouth is."
  13. Remember him well and he had my total respect as a referee. Condolences to all family and close friends.
