Michael Rabone
Penzance 3-2 Newquay I hear the centenary game at Penzance was a very good match, Newquay took the lead through Dave 'Rafa' Rabone and then conceded two goals (one a penalty) in the first half. Newquay equalised from the spot - Rafa scored his second, but Newquay conceded a late goal and Penzance pinched the points. I will look forward to reading CTB's match report. Apparently it was an excellent performance by an inexperienced Newquay side and a big improvement following the game on Saturday.

Michael Rabone
Hi Dave, I'd say it is a combination of the following: 1) A far better side than last year with some of the younger lads maturing 2) The knock on effect of having a stronger first team. Last season Penzance Reserves played a number of first team players and it seemed to make the team worse off as a result. 3) Having played 11 games when the closest teams have played 8 or 9! 4) The fact that PZ have won two more games so far this season in comparison to the whole of last season 5) Parking a western greyhound bus in the second half at Mount Wise to secure an all-important point away from home! Credit to Penzance though, it's not easy propping up the rest of the league and I am sure they are pleased with the progress being made this season. cornishteddyboy
Have just read that Kevin Richards, the Porthleven reserves manager got married last weekend so he won't be reporting for a day or two Good luck Kev. So what we need are the Porthleven and Culdrose scorers for last night's game if anyone was there or playing. Shoot the Messenger where are you?
